Seems like since 123RF has reached top tier, massive rejections has taken control of the site  >:( >:( >:(
I got files rejected which are best sellers on other agencies!!! Until that sudden up of 123RF rejections were very fair, but now, they have an automatic rejection or something

Let me guess,  "bad lighting"  and " no commercial value",  in fact what it means is that, whatever is editing can not separate between bad WB and a toned image. Also, no commercial value means=  the image is too advanced, too creative for their programs or editors.

Pugh!  glad Im not submitting there anymore.

It's interesting that they reaced top tier.  They're definitely bottom tier for me.

123RF get to top tier mainly because upload ( 7.2 I think ),  so my guess is that most users that are leaving others agency's are uploading huges batchs and that means more competition.

Anyway, I notice "less acceptance" since they reach 10 million images.

I can't complain about it, because is where i have better acceptance rate, and after 2 or 3 batchs refused, i adjust and choose images that I think deserve a second chance, and normaly they accept almost of it.

Hey Autumnleaves,

Thanks for the headsup.

Kindly email your UID and rejected images code to [email protected] so that our reviewers can re-evaluate them.

Thanks for your patience.

Many thanks,
Angelina

Most of my photos got accepted for editorial, does this mean the photos are not good enough? what's the reasoning behind them going editorial? The same ones have been accepted on iStock and Fotolia...

Indeed, I'd use the same words to describe it. They rejected about a third of the submitted photos, while I had an acceptance rate of way over 90% up until now. And it could be almost 100% if they didn't reject a whole batch for copyright issues, the only agency that did that - and I resubmitted then because of that reason and the same thing happened again.

Well I won't even bother resubmitting, I won't even worry anymore. I can understand that in some cases these agencies that recently became big need to learn a few things, hire better reviewers etc, it's normal they have some catching up to do and that success got into their heads. Overall, I still like 123RF and consider them one of the best agencies when I exclude SS.

I tried this option twice and did not even get a response. Is there any other procedure that I need to follow, like posting here first?

This is the worst thing i felt for 123RF, I am new in microstock sites and I had few doubts about submission and ID profs etc . I sent 4-5 mails to their customer care but they did not care to reply me even once. LoL. At the same time ST,FT and even IS replied me personally, specially ST replied my 5 mails and I am really satisfied for their works.
But yeah my 13 pix out of 15 were selected in 123RF so for me reviewer are better than customer care of them. lol
But are the photographs viewed and sold in 123RF...!!! I really doubt sometime. Can anyone share me his experience about selling photos there ?

I rejoined after dumping them 2 years ago. sent 1500 known sellers. 400 were rejected for above reasons which was total BS. I contacted [email protected] and they took care of it and he seems like a nice understanding Guy. I don't know what reviewing team they have or who they want but some are obviously WAY Off Base. They are NOT a top 4 site in any real poll. And Who votes here Im sorry to say doesn't hold to much weight. We'll just have to wait and see for ourselves. I hope they come back, It an easy upload process but there staff needs some schooling in Lighting and commercial value.

Also...And let me add. A nice well exposed pretty shot of a mountain in arizona does not need a property release. Thats off the chart silly.

It appears to be an "common error" and I would send it back for revision.

That happen with all agencies, and,  without mention agencies names, some of the funniest reasons of refused photos:

- Lunge - X-Ray -> Trademark/logo ( dam..  x-ray machine see any trademark on patient LOL )
-  "half" Medium voltage pole against sky -> no property release ( with more than 20 poles already online.. why this one have owner? Or I shoot God's cloud? )

I have exactly the same issue with them.  It is stupid and frustrating and makes me feel that I know a good deal more about photography than the reviewer, which does not give me any faith in the company at all.

I had a series of images of prehistoric standing stones rejected for not having a release and accepted as editorial instead.  I think that given that the guy who made them has likely been dead for around 5,000 years the odds of hearing from his lawyers are somewhat slim.

Its just plain silly.  I have also had large numbers of best sellers rejected.  I'm sorry, but I shouldn't have to resubmit or contact support about this - the inspectors should know better.  They are definitely bottom tier for me, mostly because I cant be bothered putting up with this incompetence.
