After SS's miserable footage pricing the avalanche began, at least these guys give us an opt out.

My question(s) is:
- the new pricing is in credits, the old one is in license points. Is 1 credit = 1 license point?
- if so, is 1credit = $1?
Thank you.

Not that it matters much, I'm just curious. Two weeks ago I deleted my last 5 editorials that were pending for 8 month.

PS. bellow are the new prices, excerpt from the email:

123 has always used 1 credit = 1 dollar.  Based on their prices, it looks like a one for one.

I didn't like their new tier structure/commission cuts, but this change is something I can live with; the v1 was priced too low and the v2 was priced too high (especially 4K). I think this is a fair inbetween pricepoint.

Just curious how you consider $70 for HD and $180 for 4k to be an "avalanche-like" drop? Did you get $5,000 before?

By the way, a quick look here will give you all the information you need: https://www.123rf.com/products/

Sorry. either I used the wrong wording or you have the habit to understand things differently.
I never said/meant that it is an  "avalanche-like" drop on 123. What I meant is that after SS's much contested sales lately, other agencies will follow.

In fact, this change is in my favor because I always selected the lowest rate before. As Noedelhap said, I find  this a "fair inbetween pricepoint" too.

Well, not that this is a semantics forum, but OK.

Your statements:

"Shutterstock has miserable pricing"
"Shutterstock caused an avalanche of pricing cuts" = other sites follow, suggests they also go to miserable pricing
"At least 123rf give us an opt out" - strongly suggests their change is negative
"I deleted my last 5 editorials" - strongly suggests you are not happy with them

That's why it seemed like you were unhappy with the change, and that it was part of the avalanche that Shutterstock started.

I do agree with you though after your clarification, it's a good change even though I used to price higher.
