Topic: Nobody upset with 123RF lack of transparency?

I`m a little bit surprised to see that there is no topic with 123RF situation, where for a long time we can`t see important statistics - like number of views and downloads for an image. The `faved images` thing is now a roulette, because if you choose one you don`t know how is doing, if it`s worth to keep it `faved` or not. No view numbers, no download numbers.

One other thing that rise questions is the disappearing of the forum. Since the new design, I can`t find it anywhere. Maybe is gone so we can`t complain there about multiple problems on site.

Sometime this lack of transparency makes me think that they don`t even report some sales.

a quiet site, i think the forum can be searched in google but I also can't find the link from main website.

Basically i find it is lower class website which doesn't have a forum, such as depositphotos too, no place to meet other contributors and ask questions and complain.

I don't expect any transparency from any agency. There are no Watchdogs or regulatory bodies to check the agencies and when you have no one looking over your shoulder, autocratic, control freak natures spring into action. The only kind of watchdogs are forums like these or blogs, but what can we write about cos we don't know what's going on.

Sometime this lack of transparency makes me think that they don`t even report some sales.

If ever an agency tried something like this and was exposed, they would be risking their entire business. Too big of a risk to take I think.

sites like 123rf - which are a nice addition to overall earnings but nothing more - are not likely to generate a lot of debate, I'm afraid

I must agree with the consensus.  I didn't even notice these changes at 123RF.  Sales have been in decline for a couple of years.   I only  bother uploading and checking my income there.  Not much else anymore.

Contributors do still notice and care when something affects earnings reporting though.  A few months back when there was a problem with misreporting earnings this board was lit up talking about it.

Diligent contributors are still the best watchdogs if there is a serious issue Smiley

I have been complaining about the loss of access to the forum for more than a year -- both here, at other sites, and directly.  Each time that I contact 123rf about this, I am told to follow them on Twitter or Facebook.  I refuse to follow them anywhere other than their own site ... which had a perfectly good forum at one time.

I agree with parts of this thread.  It is much easier to avoid debates when all the communication is One-Way.  Treat 'em like mushrooms ... Keep 'em in the dark and Feed 'em sheet.   Angry
But, it's their business.  For whatever that is worth.

That's not a good spot after all the discussion on here about the privacy issues with Facebook. As a contributor of 123RF I shouldn't have to open up an account with Facebook just to partake in the Forum.

Anglee, I have 47 files still in pending since a LOT OF TIME now. I have contacted [email protected] and they told me they'll look at the problem but it doesn't appear to do so. I had 4-5 batches approved since those files are in pending, do you mind to check this for me? thanks.

Facebook is not a professional forum.  It's a complete waste of time.

Thanks for that, Anglee. But I'm encountering another problem now. I uploaded today 2 batches. First one worked well as expected, it's in pending now. But for the second one I can't see the thumbnails. And I need to attach model releases, since all images are with people. Any help with that?

Just did it, sent an email. The method was via FTP, as always. After the "processing" phase, I can't have thumbnails for any of my images in the second batch.
