Usually my pictures are approved the same day or the next.  Now I have had 41 pictures pending since Sept.8, and think that they may have been forgotten in a glitch.  Do you have a similar experience or is it still flowing as usual for you?  Thanks for any feedback  :)

They seem to have the same system as SS that once one of your batches reaches the front of the queue they review all your batches. I submitted on the 11th or 12th and got them reviewed over the weekend.

Something strange going on with yours, there is a lag between when they review them and when they send the e-mail.

They have slowed up big time.  There is something on their forum but it doesn't really say anything.

Thanks fintastique and  CJPhoto.  I just checked their forum thread about the slow review:

It seems that either they are overwhelmed, or something else is happening, like when the admin was almost inexistent before TP closed...  what do you think?

Yes, my past few batches has been very slow to be reviewed as well.

That doesn't bother me too much, as long as they get reviewed eventually.

But I've noticed a very significant drop in sales for me in 123RF this month. Maybe I've been spoilt with increased sales every month :P

cheers.

Well about half an hour after I posted, I received an email notification (wrong numbers, wrong results...), all my pictures were reviewed!  They still don't show up in the online portfolio, but this delay should be fine.. I hope.

So, the site is alive and afloat, this is god news!  :)

123rf are owed by Inmagine a big macro rf site with 1.8 million images its not somebody in a garage in Pasadena. So they are less likely to go under.

I must admit sales have been a bit slower there this month.

Thank you for this info fintastique, this is one of the reasons this site is so useful!  I was almost ready to empty my portfolio from 123....
Even if the sales come drop by drop, at least I know now that this site is safe, and it's a relief.
What I don't understand is that if the site is owned by such a giant, why don't they invest some of their funds in the marketing dept in order for 123 to have more exposure, thus more sale  ???

I dont understand this either.  They hav enough photos now that they can start a marketign push.  Sales is the only thing that will make more photags join.

My photos ahve finally been reviewed (all excepted except my brick wall backgounds - not stock apparently).

Note: that StockXpert is 49% owned by Jupiter so there are three micro sites owned by the Macro big boys - iStock being the thrid owned by Getty.

I uploaded 6 or 7 images this month, one or two days apart each. Only one was reviewed so far.

My greatest concern with 123RF however is the lack of individual sales in August and September.  Subscription sales earnings are ridiculous.

Adelaide
