Hiya, have you faved your images on 123RF.com? I reckon you'll be asking -- why is faving important? The simplest answer to this is SEARCH PRIORITY. Your Faved images will display on the first few pages whenever clients conduct a search.

Please follow steps as below (If you have yet to do so):
1) Login to 123RF
2) Go to "Sell Images" under the category of "For Photographers" at the footer.
3) Click "Faved".
4) Select 5% of your total images.
5) Click "Add to Favorite" for those images that you like to Fave.

Regards,
Anglee

Hi Anglee

I do every now and then and I actually update every 3d month or so by removing non sellers and replacing them with another selection (about 20% rotation). Just hit a very dry spot suddenly, for no clear reason. But then again, this is microstock, so no clear reason always present...  ;).

Thank you for the concern.

Nearly half way into the month, it's going to be my slowest month of the year if it does not pick up. On contrary, other sites are doing just fine.

I think we should give them confidence at all 3 sites mentioned by you.

1) 123RF I noticed that is very fair in pay. When they gather around the minimum, pay their own initiative, thanks to a setting they have in their software for the photographer chooses.
Also, when a problem occurs, have a quick resolution, including by reason of having committed a representative in many countries and it allows the photographer to discuss language. To me it was a problem in their software, I noticed it and fixed it quickly.

2) DP has a beautiful evolution in growth. They are very fast at times when in evaluating images and other times they are slow, but sales for the first week I started when I was present at her. Also give quick answers to proposals photographers and that means respect for contributors.

3) Canstock was for me the place where, long time nothing happened that sale. After we arrived but a significant number of images (several hundred), and sales started coming. Not spectacular, but they started to move. I will continue to publish them, if maintain the same increasing trend.

So I think we need to give them confidence and support through our posts.

Firstly, welcome to MSG Florin!

Yes, I agree with your remarks.  This thread however is to check current tendency for the month so far, to establish if other contributors experience the same short/medium term tendency.

Just  had  my  4th  sale  on  10/17  -  a  halloeen  pic.  More  uploads  to  come  and  hopefully  more  dl's.  All  my  sales  have  come  on  sites  where  i  have  a  small  port.

Then logic must prevail, do not mess it up now! Do not upload further and only have small ports to ensure constant sales!  ;D

No  i'm  going  for  a  bigger  port  no  matter  what.  It's  just  surprising  that  small  ports  are  selling  (even  though  it's  very  few)  for  me.

Its not about the port, but the images. You can have 1 image and all you need is a  buyer.

Small ports can often sell more than big ports.  I know somebody with less than  300 that has huge amounts of dls and others with 1000s of images that sell much less.

For me 123 keeps selling 2 or 3 pics per month. My port size increased a lot as I'm new, but they simply don't grow my sales. I think I had a month with 4 sales :D

Came flying out of the blocks this month on 123rf for the first few days, then stopped and nothing since.

Me as well. Totally unpredictable agency. BME last month. This month? Sputtering along. My second largest portfolio equals my worst sales this month. And next month? Who knows?

Very unpredictable for me as well except (funny enough) for the number of sales. About 50 per month for the last 6 months, although my port grew by 35-40% during this period. The amounts differ drastically as it is dependent on the types of licences those 50 sales consisted of. Have very slow start months, picking up again during the month. Then also a few fast sales days and then days without.

Just as long as that bottom line keeps ticking over, I am not really worried how they sell during the month. They must just keep on selling! 2013 is just round the corner!  :P

Does the same apply to footage?
