I had 80 images in the queue in four different batches, 20 showed as approved before this happened the rest in pending.  Now all 80 are simply gone.  Not in portfolio, not in pending not in history.  FTP processing says no images found.  Not good.

If your images were approved, then you are not having trouble uploading.

My 3 images lying in Processing and just at 20% after couple days  ???  Really unusual for 123rf as have gotten used to relatively easy uploads and fast reviews there... hope they'll fix whatever it is soon

Well, I'll check again, but per this and another thread, and the post from their tech support, many of us are having a problem. This morning, I didn't try to go past their captcha code, which pops up every time despite saying that I won't see it again. Assumed if that was still broke, then the uploader was also

Even stranger considering that after you get past the captcha code and get to the upload page, the button is disabled and the following is there instead.

We regret to inform that we will disable queueing of files to process until further notice.

Hi all,

FYI

I just uploaded to 123rf and it seems to work this morning.  I am no longer getting the message "We regret to inform that we will disable queueing of files to process until further notice."

The files uploaded and read as "File currently pending processing".  Note: I used the web uploader and not the ftp.

Cheers,

Yes...I too used the web uploader this morning and found that it was stuck on 20% when in the "file currently pending processing". I kept clicking "refresh page" until they went through.

I just tried the ftp uploader. You still get the captcha page with the promise that "You will not see this prompt again unless you have logged out."

The button to upload is back, but when you start you get Uploading... Please wait instead of the old screen that showed progress. At this point, I have no idea if it's working or not - going to leave that window running for a while.

This month's sales half of last month, so they will cross the trouble vs worth line quickly

three hours later it still say's please wait. I hit refresh and it takes me back to the captcha screen.

I'm done.

Hi Everyone,

We are in the midst of switching to a new image processing system that works along the same lines as our video and audio processing mechanism.

How this works is:
Via FTP:
1. Upload your files into FTP.
2. Go to the upload page (yes the captcha is a necessary step)
3. Pass the captcha challenge
4. Click FTP Settings / Check FTP Upload Results
5. Click Continue >>>
6. What this does is our system will transfer the files from your FTP folder into a queue.

Via Web form:
1. Upload your files into FTP.
2. Go to the upload page (yes the captcha is a necessary step)
3. Pass the captcha challenge
4. Click Web Form Uploader
5. Select the items that have to be uploaded
6. Check the appropriate check boxes and
7. Click Upload!
8. What this does is our system will transfer the files from your computer into into a queue.

Why is a queue necessary?
We have an increasing number of digital files to process and work with. Due to the popularity of "upload once, send to many" apps out there, these apps are really good at uploading and then processing files concurrently. What happens is that our servers will literally max out on CPU resources and this results in even more angst as your files are corrupted due to failed graceful processing.

Why is captcha necessary?
To allay the auto processing of the apps above. We will work to ensure that the apps will eventually be able to process your files automatically too but we're switching to a new system, so for the time being, do be patient with the system as we work to iron out the bugs.

What's are we working on actively?
Various items:
1. We are currently working to improve the system so that you receive a message on the ESTIMATED time before your files are available for MR attachments/describing/keywording. This is proving to be a challenge as we have to determine the existing queue length and then estimate the time you need for your own files to arrive at a logical estimated timeframe.

2. I do believe that the messaging for the various error detection are a bit vague as well. We are working to make sure that we will give you proper error reports in the future.

3. The system messaging must also be a lot more intuitive because a lot of contributors are so used to processing things in real time, we hope to change this with better messaging to you so that everyone understands that there IS A QUEUE, and you have to send the files in, and come back later to complete the steps.

What don't we recommend?
We advise against refreshing the page continuously as it will generate even more errors. We advise you to be patient, click once and let it take a short while as the system churns through the queue. We too are testing the system so that its robustness and responsiveness is up to par with your expectations as well as ours.

I also note that you might be worried if you missed out certain files due to this problem. We have begun to keep track of your original file names quite some time back. We can give you a CSV dump of all the files you have sent to us and you can identify which files are missing from your portfolio rather easily. Please email
[email protected] if you need your CSV file to conduct the reconciliation exercise.

Thank you for your understanding! Please give us a week to iron things out and get the system back on its feet again. We haven't restricted any uploading or processing.
Alex

Well, I did manage eventually to get to the images are in the queue page (although it kicked me back a step a few times for no apparent reason).

You really should remove the text that says "you will not see this again unless you log out" since it seems to be completely untrue.

Good luck getting a fast, reasonable, reliable, and stable upload system working. With your extra 30% or so I expect nothing less.

It's encouraging to read that got your images to the queue page Tom  :)

I have tried for some days now, with photos that were uploaded using FTP. The files upload OK but all I seem to get when I try to process the uploaded files is: "Uploading...Please Wait...". And I have waited for many hours.

If I connect the FTP, I can see that my files are still there.

Did you try anything different? Or did you just try many times, and suddenly it worked?

My files are moved to pending now. I had been logged out, probably by the 123RF system, and when I logged back in, they were in the pending queue.

Figured I would give it a try again! :( :( :( :( :( :(

Filename    123RF Filename    File Type      Uploaded      Status    Action
1)   064_1.jpg      Stock Photo      Time left: 5 mins

3)   033_1.jpg      Stock Photo      Time left: 5 mins
4)   045_1.jpg      Stock Photo      Time left: 5 mins

Been spinning and working 5 minutes for well over 15-20 plus minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This spinning is just a waste of time and my internet service which is DATA limited so it just burns up DATA doing nothing that I pay for each month and 123's easy upload process was thrown out the window for what may even be more piss poor then what they have over on BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got hundreds to upload and can't do a dam thing like this so it looks like time to wait till the cows come home and maybe then it will be fixed or maybe we are going to have to wait till hail freezes over???????????????????

Functionality of site is one thing but it seems like they never test usability. Why in heck I have to to do multiple clicks just to see something?

1. I am thinking that processing of FTP uploads should be fully automated with usage of current processing queue. Right now I have to click Upload-> Photos (JPG) radio -> Continue button -> FTP settings / Check Upload FTP Results -> Continue button - I hereby warrant that the photos check box -> Click here to process button. 7 clicks!!!
2. Then if I want to attach releases I have to click More link -> Releases button just to get to selection. Why Referral link is more important that Releases.

123RF - I sent them an email about the uploading problem - i.e. not working with Filezilla.  Got a very prompt message back.  I can't find anything except on this site about the wait and for how long  they are "disabling queueing of files until further notice".
I am a newbie on the 123rf site - so I don't want to make 'waves'.
This was their reply......

Hi there,

Thank you for your email.

We regret to inform that we will disable queueing of files to process until further notice.  This due to our new system which has just recently been implemented, once all the technical glitches have been sorted, uploads will be much more stable and faster.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you for your understanding and patience on the matter.

We have also re-enabled our old processing scripts so that when activated it will send the all files in your FTP for processing. You should no longer have any error 404s. This was done to accommodate the automated apps that triggers the processing scripts to us.

Thank you,

Alex.

Five Ripe Red Apples on a Wood Table.jpg   Unassigned   Stock Photo      Failed to complete processing - Not valid imagetype

Is it the fact that they are apples, or is only red apples?

Can be that the default max is set to 4 apples or that they look over ripe?

Just uploaded 20 images yesterday via FTP and they went straight through with no problems.  They cleared processing and are now pending in the completed file section (FileZilla 3.6.0.2, Latest version of Firefox and Windows 7).

I am still having an issue where one out of every batch is corrupted. I dislike the way the site tells me that my file is corrupted, rather than "oops, we've messed up the upload on that one".

Ahhh, they changed their site from submit.123rf.com to ftp.123rf.com.  I was wondering why it was down so long without more complaints.
