anyone knows how their sort order works. it seemed to me it must be  set to kind of popularity (or download) descending?
I recently uploaded a big batch of photos but very few of them seems to show up in the search(at least not in first few pages)
if sort order is set to download descending how on earth  buyers could see newly submitted images.have I wasted my time?  ??? I know sales aren't that fast there but I was expecting to make more than 1,35 dollars in ten days. I am still far from my first payout :(

It helps I have done it. It approximately doubled my income at 123rf. Now I earn about $8 a month in the average with a little less than 100 images :)

ahh i didn't know that existed either.
I don't have around 123rf at all - thanks for pointing it out.

it is almost like the sideshow at luckyoliver - but different.

I have picked my faves - now i hope i get as much out of it as freezing did.

Note that giving away free images is a very important part of 123RF's strategy.

I don't like giving away images.  But I tried it for ten days recently.  I was astonished to see nearly 600 downloads of my 20 free images.  I don't like it, but at least 123RF limits it to very small low res copies.

During that 10 day period my 'paid' downloads quadrupled.

My free images period came to an end a few days ago, and within a couple of days my 'paid' downloads returned to lower levels.

I don't like the free stuff idea, but it does seem to be important to 123RF.  Just be very careful not to give away 'free' stuff that is selling well elsewhere - that just doesn't seem right to me.

well, may be it's a bit early to talk but neither donation nor faving made me any good.free images had certain amount of download while other sitting there.I think I will leave it as it is.
donating images sounded OK at first after giving a try it sounds like it will loose me sale instead of gaining some.
I wish they Had another donation option like  to upload specific files to be free rather then allowing the existing ones to be downloaded for free.   so that I could upload lower res files that could not normally go through with micros as a result of their size but they can still be useful for web.
anyway I see users with hundreds of donated images of course it's up to them but it doesn't sound best way to promote your work,as it looses sale for you as well as others just my opinion)
