Title: you may be earning more than you think.
Post by: leaf on May 12, 2006, 05:48
I just checked a little closer at my 123RF  earnings today and they were higher in a couple ways that i had originally thought.

Last month it appears their grossed more than average on their subscription sales and we warned more than the regular .22/image.  It seems to work out to 26 cents /image.

Also, they have started single sales (not using a subscription) we get paid 50% of the price (assuming you have been a member for a while, otherwise it is on a scale by how many you have sold)

Anyhow, when you click on 'images downloaded' you will automaticaly see your subscription download numbers.  However if you click on on 'credits' which is near the top, you will see credit downloads.  I had $13.50 of downloads there i didn't know about :), not to mention last months 4 cent 'raise'

Lucky you re the single sales - i didn't know about that but then I haven't received any either.  How many sales was this and can you tell what images they were???

Agree that last month, their payout was actually 26c as opposed to their minimum 22c.  THis is only calculated at the end of each month.

yeah, you can see which images.

there was 14 in total sold, some were low, some medieum, and some high quality.  It is nice to get the $1.50 downloads.

Just to let you know the per pictures sales are as follows:

S - 1 credit
M - 2 credits
L - 3 credits

So you get 50% of the payment (or whatever % you are on - between 30 and 50%). HOwever, customers pay between 80c and $1 for each credit depending how they buy, so your income is as follows (based on 50% payout):

S - between 40 and 50c
M - between 80c and $1
L - between $1.2 and $1.5

[Note: if you joined before the end of april?? you get 50% payout.  otherwise you start at 30% payout and as you DL increase you go to 40% and then 50%]

123 have calculated their subscription sales and they increased again

March 22c
April 26c
May 27c
June 27c
July 28c  ;D

If only they had the sales of SS.

I may finally qualify for a payout at the end of the month though not sure when I will actually get paid  :'( hopefully no later than mid September.

How many images do you have on 123?

Thats rather a personal question!

images at 123rf - 1,208 essentially 90% of the photos I have submitted since March (that were over 4mp)

Actually I will probably just miss out on a payment this month.

123RF is doing ok for me. The per sales is a nice one, bringing up the average a bit to about 0.28. I've still a small portfolio, but I'll be keeping 123rf.
