I got very excited a year ago when footage was announced but got turned off by seeing large collections and no submission options for "every" contributor.

Checking the blog I saw that Alamy may be contacted via email in order to be considered as a footage contributor but submission have to be made via HDD  :o

Is anyone here already submitting footage? How are you doing?

I enquired and they told me they weren't interested at the moment.  They wanted over 300 clips, even though I was close to having that many.  So I'm waiting for the doors to open to everyone.  Its taken so long, I've almost lost interest.  I might try one of the other traditional sites, like Getty, as they have a huge head start over alamy.  The stills sites that were late to the market have struggled and I think alamy will find it very hard to sell a lot of footage now.

dont understand why are they taking so long to open the door to all videographers. They say they first want to build a good collection from selected agencies/persons but if they allow to submit all and edit/choose the videos from submissions tightly they could easily build a large and good footage collection. But if they take years for each step, dunno how will they catch their competitors.

Hi, Im new in the forum and new selling footage  :)

I decided to upload my clips to REC Stock Footage I had to send a HDD because I had more than 100 clips although I was a little bit scare about it Finally I havent any problem with them and Im really happy with REC.

They share with you If I dont remember badly 50% if you work on exclusive or 40% if not.

How I said Im new selling footage I have no to much experience with another websites but at this moment Im happy with my decision on work with REC.

I hope this will be useful
