Can someone explain that:

Royalty-free   820 KB
648 x 432 pixels
83 KB compressed
$ 6.15

Royalty-free   820 KB
648 x 432 pixels
120 KB compressed
$ 56.10

Is an Distribution sale ( normally "novel use" appear as is ) ?

"Novel Use" will show up under your "Summary of items sold" under the detail column as "Novel Use Scheme...."

The licenses you show above are both Royalty Free licenses.  The price differences reflect different deals that Alamy has with different customers...and they may also reflect usage.

In your instance, I'm going to say they probably reflect usage.  The first instance is a low resolution image sale (notice it says 83kb compressed) which is probably being used in a news feature thumb nail for 24 or 48 hours on a news website.  Perhaps a link to the news story.

The second image is a higher resolution file (same size in dimensions but a higher resolution at 120kb compressed),  My guess would be that it is one of the main images used to represent the news story whether it be in the headline or embedded within the text.
