Title: Alamy Tax ID Number
Post by: JetCityImage on February 07, 2019, 09:22
I know they don't send a 1099, but does anyone have their TIN?

Thanks!

They don't? How do I get my sales data for the year, based on what they paid me?

Is there a download for my taxes?

Honestly, last year, I just ran a Paypal report to total up the payments.

"Hi Jonathan

We don't supply tax forms for our contributors because we are a UK company but our UK VAT registration number is GB 718 2941 23 and our company number is 3807789.

Thanks,

Thanks for the extra effort, we don't need 100 people writing and asking the same question, you got the answer. I make up my own numbers...  ;)

Some places send earnings, even if they didn't pay us, some send totals, some send actual wages. I'll just go with your idea, look at Paypal add that up, that's the number.

I thought they were required to provide tax forms if you made over a certain amount regardless of where you lived, but maybe that is only companies based in the US.  We certainly get them from other companies that are not US-based.  I wonder if they report our earnings to the IRS?

For any company that does not provide the tax form, I do what others have suggested - make a printout from Paypal and use that and/or a printout of the year's earnings from the company's web site if possible.  I don't think the IRS cares as long as you have it listed as income on your tax forms.

The one I hate is Canva, since they deduct Australian income tax.  You can credit that back as foreign income taxes paid but it is a nuisance to keep track.  DACS is the same that way.  At least with Alamy they don't deduct anything from our earnings.

You could always download a CSV file from the "Download Sales Report" tab on the contributor dashboard

Put in the start and end date for the tax year and select Date paid that's as best as you'll get.

As they are a British company you'll not get 1099's and they are under no legal obligation to provide data to the American IRS
