Alamy is well known for their huge collection of oddball editorial images and if the there is a collection that is diametrically opposed to micro images it is these. I've sold some weird images but yesterday takes the cake,  I made a sale for $230.41 for a doggie bag dispensing box. If I asked any of you esteemed pundits what you thought of this image, even the politest of you would have laughed me off the stage.

...and if you asked any of the established micro agencies, they would have probably rejected it for LCV...

congrats on the sale.

Well done for spotting the opportunity and taking advantage of it. I'm guessing the buyer didn't have a huge choice of 'doggie bag dispensing box' images to choose from. That's stock photography for you.

I don't think it's taste so much (although it is an image only a mother would love), it's more need than anything else at play.

Looks like your buyer only needed one image of a doggie bag dispenser box.  Wish they'd purchased mine, too!  LOL

Bravo for the file sold :-)

I have a question : how do you sell your files on alamy ? On the select menu when submitting your image, do you choose royalty free or right managed ?...

thanks

I sell both ways, but the image in question was an RF image.

While everyone else rushes to get shots of doggie bag dispensing boxes, I'll be the one getting the shot of the doggie making a deposit in the doggie bag, so there!!!   Cheesy

I think there are some linguisitc issues here, isn't a doggy bag what you take home uneaten food from a restaurant in ?

or do you mean son#mething that goies in here

I'd hate to confuse the two
