Am I right in thinking that there is no way to give a link to my portfolio on Alamy to a potential buyer?
I can see no way to do this....
:(

They have the Alamy portfolio page, but it's absolutely not ideal for your purpose.
Still, if you have your own buyer/s, why not sell direct and pocket 100%?

Thanks ShadySue.
The issue is that I don't have a website - think costs, time, technology to master - but also selling direct from here in Italy would be financially a non-starter due to upfront fees etc...
Just that on rare occasions people ask to see my images and it would be nice to point them somewhere...not too microstock!

You could try setting up My Portfolio, then. Actually, it works without you doing anything, it's just not personalised and clunky.
Hey, the last time I tried it, the 'useless' thing was that if I 'searched within', I got a searchwide search on the keyword/s, but I tried again just now and it returned only my files on the keyword I'd chosen.
You could test that for yourself to see if it's now consistent. If it is, you can tweak it to look a bit better and use that.

If you've already looked at that and don't like it, the only other way I know is to make a post on their forum, then click on your portfolio size number in your profile on the page. That takes you to your port, but you can't search within it. Also you need to shorten the URI thus generated via TinyURL or similar.

If you go to your portfolio edit page on Alamy, there is a button 'share this portfolio' that will give you a link to share. You can also customise the url to make it more relevant. It's not an ideal portfolio page but it can work - still work in progress as it seems they keep adding new features.

That's right, but Portfolio Page must be turned ON in the Dashboard. Then go to Alamy Portfolio Page, this is the editor for your page. You can set the portfolio ID which is a One Time label. You can change the header image, your avatar, the photos that are shown order. Once you have done that editing, click View as Public

The Share Botton has options for: Twitter, FB, Pinterest, Linkedin, or Copy Url =  https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/245438.html

People can search for an image within your portfolio from the link.

Much better than the links in the past, where you got some long/strange link, that had to be converted in Tiny URL and often wouldn't work, or would change. Every time I look now, it says I can make a unique link, one time no changes, which I do and then the next time it says the same thing.  :o

Also I once had a search of my files, which I linked from a couple websites. When I went, sometimes it would say, not found or if someone searched it would find no files, when I have thousands. The new one also works better for this as well.

Good Luck = Have Fun.
