Does anyone has practical knowledge about Alamy additional revenue opportunities? Under that heading, there are three different ways that your images can be bought in addition to Alamy's regular sales which are: 1- Novel Use 2- Distribution 3- UK Newspaper Scheme.

After reading the provided info under each one, I am skeptical about opting in. If I opt in all of them, would that increase my total revenue coming from Alamy, or will it decrease if buyers find a cheaper way by going through those schemes instead? Anyone has " before and after" experiences regarding those three options.

I opted out of Novel Use because they include RM photos and I don't want to sell them for low prices. If we could opt in individual images, I might try it. I opted in to distribution and the UK newspaper scheme but I am not sure either will increase my earnings. My sales so far have all been for books and magazines.

Novel use has never been successful so I opt out. I have had sales through the distributors who take 40% and Alamy takes 20%. Usually distributor sales are at lower prices.

I didn't even know about the Distribution option until I got notified someone wanted to buy an image through a distributor and I wasn't registered.

Now I am registered but so far just that one sale. Not a huge royalty, especially when we only get 40%, but still worth it IMO, and better than most micro royalties.
