just curious. why is buying a royalty free photo much,much cheaper than licensed ? it seems RF offers a lot more advantage from a buyer perspective,right?

It isn't necessarily cheaper, and the advantage is that you get the image you want, if it is only available as RM.

There's less chance for competing companies to purchase identical images.

great info. i noticed that photos with human face without model release can be right managed & licensed , and photos with model release can be  RF.i wonder why on earth would someone pay like 10 times ore more for a licensed file without model release ?

I think you are mixing things.  You need a release for commercial use, RF or RM (L in Alamy).  If you don't have a release, the image is basically usable only for editorial content.
