This was in their blog:
http://www.alamy.com/Blog/contributor/archive/2009/03/04/4294.aspx

They expect to have it solved by next Monday.  My latest uploads are still in the "ready" stage, not being included in the search yet.

Regards,
Adelaide

But next Monday was the 9th, if you look at the date, it's a week old blog post. My waiting photos, did get reviewed after sitting for 8 days. Now all are "ready" and I'll wait for the servers to burp up some changes again and have them go live. I predict that by the 16th, we'll see our photos go on sale and search enabled.

Did you ever watch the 2008 contributors conference? James West explains that they have something like 14 servers just for uploads, and they are updating them to a newer operating system. As always, with changes, come bugs.  Grin

On one hand we want new features, the bulk annotation tools and other things, but when they add them and it breaks something else, then we want things to be the same and working.

What we get is a little of each. I keep wondering how they index 15 million images almost every day, during the off peak hours and keep all the photo servers in sync? Then they have to add the new thousands of images every couple of days.

The link you posted was originally put up 4 March, which means we are up to the second "next Monday".  Grin If they change the update again on the 18th, but leave the wording Next Monday, we're still going nowhere. "We will provide a further update on Monday 16th March if we have not resolved the problem before then."

All my photos are just like yours. Ready and waiting, but not for sale. My oldest one was uploaded March 3rd and ready for 11 days. In other words, I got 16 new photos reviewed faster than anything has changed from Ready to For Sale.  Undecided

It's 6am right now in London. Fingers crossed.

Edit Today: UPDATED 16TH March: The search engine will update later today and changes will be reflected tomorrow, we have done some final checks and we are now ready to go ahead. Many thanks for your patience, we appreciate it has been a frustrating time and hopefully normal service has now been resumed.

2am UK time, ON SALE!
