Title: What does it mean?
Post by: Dodie on September 27, 2018, 07:01
Hi everyone,

I have a sale for "Web use, One month, Bulk Discount, Flat Rate".

Can anyone please tell me what does the "One month" bit mean from this report?

I found the image on a website on May 16 but it was never reported. After a long email exchange with Alamy support, now the sale showed up being shown as downloaded on September 25, $1 my cut.

It is more than 4 month that the image is online on that site, so I wonder what does the "one month" mean in Alamy report?

Thanks.

Alamy - unlike most other sites - negotiates licences for specific usage, including time limits.
"One month" means exactly that, and if the buyers are using that image for a longer time, then they are in violation of the licence.

You should contact Alamy, not the buyer.

Thank you very much for the fast answer.

I will contact Alamy but I don't think they care about violation of license. They know when was the image/blogpost  first published, they even confirmed in July that there is a sale at one of their distributors but they told me to wait for the report.

Thanks again.
