Anyone else notice that keywording for Bigstock hanged in the middle of today?  They cut out the description line and it looks a lot more like SS actually.

Yeah an email went out about these changes. Much simplified categories process, and no title field.

The categories before were crazy. Eg: Animals - Fish/Birds/Pets/Miscellaneous. Pretty sure there are more animal types than that!

So its a good move overall.

Makes sense to go with same as SS so they can all be merged into one database. Same as IS change to match Getty. Big merge and goodbye Bigstock. IS could be merged into Getty. Why have so many names and accounting for same places. Be ready for BS to disappear within a year. DPC credits go to Adobe. Consolidation is the next phase of micro.

Congratulations to BS, a change that has actually improved the process.

Since last week Bigstock randomly unable to read Metadata for approx 20% of all photos uploaded through FTP. All those photos are processed without problem on all other stock sites. I have to manually copy and paste descriptions and keywords for each photo. Big waste of time. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Same here - quite a few photos got uploaded without any metadata few days ago, i thought it was just my FTP glitch :(

Also waiting unusually long for the images to be reviewed...  Was always a quick thing

Odd, I got the email days before and I don't upload there. I think this is a signal that BS will be moved to the same servers and system as SS. All files from both sites, one search, no matter where they are uploaded.

ditto on this for me too, can't see any pattern in the affected images, happened for me in the last two batches in approx the past 10 days, 20-30% maybe?

Same for me. I've never gotten a response from support, so I quit bothering. In addition to the no metadata problem which is getting worse, I frequently get a "We need more data" error when I click submit even though all data is ready. A second click gets it through. I like the new process, but with the current bugs, not worth uploading to

I get the not ready almost every time even though all information there before and after the change.

Review times are MUCH longer now.

Also they have changed their reviewers, the weekend reviewer from SS has been moved to BS, or their standards have changed or a combo.   Almost all my images were approved on BS and now almost none....including ones already approved on SS (plus everywhere else).  Bogus reason.  Hard to imagine BS has lighting standards so different than SS but seems like it.  Might take a pause uploading there if this keeps up.

+1 about the reviewers, had quite a few rejected from the last batch, very unsusual :o

They always claimed that the standards were the same for both. I had the same as you. Many accepted on BS were rejected on SS. Or any that I sent to SS and were rejected, I could send to BS and have accepted.

Maybe they finally have the same reviewers working both. I think Flower is right, this is a sign of the merge, everything BS will soon be staffed and operating from SS.

1)Using web uploader (not FTP) and no meta data attached to images. Will it show up later or will I have to re-upload?

2)1099 from Bigstock showed Shutterstock as payee.

Can't see why anyone thinks that BS will be merged into SS.
BS - 25 measly cents forever (more or less)
SS - 38 cents for many

?

I am also having the same issue with some of my images imported incorrectly after ftp upload (IPTC metadata was not read correctly). Do you guys found any way to fix it? I could write to support, but it takes ages for them to respond :(

They answered me and it seems that they don't know about the problem.

But a lot of you come here to lament and never contact the directly interested people
O_o

Mail them!!!
