Topic: Going to give BigStock a go after 10 months....

I've had around 60 of my early images with them for over ten months and seem to have a sale here and there trickling in so I figured I might as well upload my ms folio of 1000+ images that I have on other sites. I'm not thrilled with their interface from the submitters point of view and their 10 word descriptions and categories annoy me, which is why I took so long. Anyway might as well do this while I have stuff pending and waiting to upload more images due to quota restrictions on IS, StockXpert and DT. I just hope that it's worth it Smiley

Look out.  If Oz uploads 1000 there will be no uploading this weekend for sure.

I don't think you'll regret uploading to BigStock, my sales have really picked up there so far this year.

They are a bigger earner for me that 123RF and Stockxpert. So as far as I'm concerned they are in the "big six".

they are better for me than 123RF but that obviously is not the case for everyone, as they are not voted into the big 6

Good luck Oz.  They are fairly slow, but solid.  BigStock outperforms StockXpert most months for me, and generally falls slightly ahead of, or even with, 123RF.  They are also very accommodating in terms of acceptance rates.

The owners are accessible on their message board and they tend to listen to contributor advice.  Commissions are fair too.  The only drawback is a slow review process.

Best of luck with uploads!

Thanks everyone, been uploading there for a while today and already and up to 450 images thus far, though I think by the sounds it will take me close to a month to get these all reviewed lol ahh well it's all good fun anyway Smiley

Review time is extremely long. The real question is which reviewer do you want? They only have two.

A. Reviewer with the glass eye.
B. Reviewer with the seeing eye dog.

I don't mind about the review times.  Just upload and forget about it.  The sales there are good.

I couldn't say they are great earner for me and they earn me  only 3% of my  microstock income but I think it is still worthwhile..

Add me to the list.  They beat 123RF consistently for me.

To the OP I would say yes, definitely upload the rest of your portfolio there.

Also, if you haven't uploaded in awhile, you may not know about the things they have done to streamline the process, like storing model releases on site and allowing you to copy categories from one picture to the next.

Waste of time -- at least for me.
The user interface is from last century and the sales are just not there.
Even LO is making me more money Smiley

One nice thing about them is the boost that they give to my port sell through rate.    The shots that seem to be the crap of my port elsewhere, that are going nowhere fast, are the ones that are selling for me at BigStock.
