I have seen an increase in credit sales at DT, FOT, and StockXpert.  Maybe they went there?
Unfortunately not for me. While DT is up over a dismal Oct for me, FT is about even (more sales at a much lower RPD resulting in about equal with where it should be this time of the month), and StockXpert is clearly lower.

With Thanksgiving week next week, it isn't looking too positive for my November at most sites (though happily my #1 site, IS, is doing pretty well so far this month).

Disappointingly, I'm still at less than half of Oct's earnings at BigStock, so wherever those ODD sales went, they didn't go to me at BigStock!  :(

Exactly the same situation here.  Hardly any OD sales at SS and a pronounced decline in sales at BigStock.

I have seen an increase in credit sales at DT, FOT, and StockXpert.  Maybe they went there?
And also the same here (im happy to hear im not the only one, in the SS forums people are claiming they still get them daily and see no change!); i used to have daily OD's...now only 3 so far this month despite very good download numbers, and no increase in BigStock sales.  :-[

At SS, my per-day OD sales are DOWN 27% in November.
At BigStock, my per-day sales are UP 22% in November.
Having a very good November at DT (on a BME pace, but of course Thanksgiving will probably ruin that), so maybe it really is getting some of the lost SS ODs?

Wow... something happened.  Had three sales today.  Not buying a new camera yet but finally saw some movement at BigStock.

Nothing earth-shattering but the RPD is better than DT.   :P

Didn't get a single sale at BS yesterday.  Virtually unheard of for a week day.
OD sales at SS are the same as usual.

After six months of mediocre results, BS has had a significant increase for me in November.

I had a couple more sales there yesterday and today. When 1.00 - 2.00 commissions are common there when they do come. Much better RPD for me there than say FT, or DT where my RPD is near .54 now ...

I am still speculating on a big marketing push or tie in to SS website within the next six months.

Uploading as fast as I can there ...

After a month of nothing....Had a .50 sale yesterday and a $2 today. I guess you can say a 200% increase over the last month...lol.

Really sad.  Just over 300 images online; 4 downloads; $2

RPD is less than DT ::)

I started this thread in mid November when I saw a significant spike in sales at BigStock.  Two months later, and things have gone in the other direction.

Odd how certain agencies will buck current trends.  January overall is my BME by a long shot, with fantastic earnings at SS, IS, DT, FT, and relatively speaking, StockXpert and CanStockPhoto.   The others I actively submit to: BigStock and 123, are either flat or down.

It is impossible to comment on trends with people that hide their portfolio links, since illustrations/photos and type of seasonal shots might add a lot of noise on distributions with already small numbers.

For me (photos/varied) over 5 years, the trend is down since last year and this is not made up by an increase in sales on SS. The past week I had 6 sales, a number too small to do any statistics on. Over time, I had many sales per month from one single image that apparently was well positioned on an alliance site, and that image totally died since last year. Perhaps the deal with SS included dropping some alliances. BigStock never was very clear about those alliances.

I guess I didn't realize the BS had alliances.  Before the SS acquisition, they seemed to be very unique in the industry.  Is there a list anywhere of the affiliations or former affiliations?  Do you know of any of them?

It has been dead for months for me. I need to look around if any vultures are flying over it?

My BigStock sales are slow but fairly steady on a portfolio of just over 500 images. I still hope for a marketing push with Shutterstock's capital.

BigStock was my first stock site so I really would like to see SS make the acquisition work for themselves ...

OK, it makes no sense to do any statistics on small numbers and over a short period of time because of the sample error being much larger than any effect. You also have to weigh sales against portfolio size.

I'm uploading on BigStock since August 2005 and I made an analysis from begin 2006 till now. Since my full port is on BigStock (almost no rejections) and the current # is somewhat over 1200, I figure that a sales analysis over time can smooth out part of the sample error and indicate trends (if any).

I plotted earnings per month (blue line) against estimated portfolio size (pink line), and I did a moving average smoothing on the earnings (yellow line). This is the result:

Notwithstanding the large fluctuations that are inherent to small number of sales on BigStock in general, one can see two trends. The first one till March 2008 (included) that roughly follows port size, and a breakdown after that.

There is a deep dip in Q4 of 2008, most probably reflecting the outbreak of the credit crunch, but the trend already reversed near the end of Q1/2008.

After a weak rebound in Q1/2009 (just continuing the downward trend), the trend goes down and down till now, despite portfolio increase. It's an educated guess that around that time T&D entered into the red zone and started looking for a buyer before the potential (and the price) of BigStock went too low.

The fact that SS owns the site for a few months doesn't seem to have any effect on the BigStock sales till now. Thanks for your attention.
