Title: Instant review
Post by: Dodie on June 12, 2016, 12:59
It's the second time now that I have these lightning fast reviews, under five minutes, not that I complain.
It would be nice to see the same speed at other agencies too.

And it would be nice to see comissions like the other agencies at bigstock, but sadly we don't always get what we want, or ever in this business.

Yeah I noticed that too, some were even reviewed when I was still editing categories...

Yes, sales and commissions are miserable at BS, at least for me.

I've found they are not just fast but seem to be accepting more as well.

Yep review times for me have been under 1 hour, sometimes minutes. Auto-review?

Screaming fast review times,  mostly fair reviews and accurate secific reasoning for rejection that helps one improve.   For a short time they seemed to have a reviewer or two who rejected everything but now more equal to most other sites.  They accept some others reject and reject others some accept but not one extreme or the other like some can do.

My sales there are about the same as they are at SS actually.  Not as much as my top 2 but not bad esp. since I stopped uploadig there for a short time when they were having issues with uploads.

Something's going on with the review process accross the agencies - now it's either instant like with BS or not happening at all (123, IS) ;D I also had FT review my last batch within just a couple of hours

New game is to go and make a cup of tea or have a wee and see if they've approved my stuff by the time I get back

I cannot wait for the 'Instant Sale' mode once they implement it  :)

Something wrong with the review since yesterday. More than 90% of all submitted content has been rejected and the reason is sh..ty. It took less than 5 minutes to review and reject 40 uploads  >:( The second and third try the same result. Approval rating slowly started to go down. Never had the issue before with the same type of content (same conditions, same everything)...

Getting reviews in under a minute now.

It's obviously automated

Not going to conclude anything but I received two different site mails recently stating that SS is [email #1: up for sale] [email #2: going to be up for sale] and that they are trying to pump up their collection size (video & stills) faster.  There is also a hypothesized push to promote new contributors because it saves them 3-4 million a month in payouts, making the books look better.  And since sales are really slowing down there for some of us, that strategy would make sense.  My number of downloads are way down, and 1-2 big SOD's and/or video sales typically save my month.  Without those I would be a $300 a month contributor, which I used to make in 2007.

I could easily conclude that an auto accept feature on BS might be to help build their collection.  I still don't get the strategic partnership of SS and BS aside from posts about BS serving a different market.  Why wouldn't SS just go after that market or simply integrate BS and their customer base into their SS model?

Anyway, like I said, don't know if there's any fact to the emails but thought I'd share speculation.

"Strategic Partnership"? I thought BS was simply wholly owned  by SS. Who could afford them?

They were more picky for me...I'm not sure mere machines are as capable of being as random and bizarre in their rejections as fully trained human reviewers :'(

What I'm saying is I don't understand why SS just does not close down BS.  If they aren't going down that path, there must be a strategy to keep them not integrated, hence the 'strategic partnership' (while wholly owned) to target different customer bases.  I don't get why SS doesn't just close them down, unless BigStock is used to test new strategies so that SS isn't harmed during a failure.

No I don't know why they don't close it. I guess they just view at as a source of income and don't invest in it.
