I just typed my name, and this came up among first results:

http://www.bigstockphoto.com/blog/thedownload/2010/07/stock-photos-of-sports/

My image is the image of paraglider in twilight, lol. It's one of my first images on stock, taken with point and shot 4Mpix camera :)

I admit it's the weakest image in this collection

Congratulations Ivan! I think we are our own worst critics. I can see why they are using it...I think it's a good photo.

Congrats! There is one by Leaf also.

Why they don't tell people they used the images in the site? :/

I'd rather have them spend the time on marketing and acquisition :) Had the privilege of finding one of my images in an earlier edition. I'm just asking myself why they don't send out those articles in a newsletter...

Hi guys,

Most of the "10 great photos of...." posts do go in our newsletter to a large pool of buyers as a either a main article, or featured sidebar. ;)  We have a separate newsletter for contributors, and these posts are sometimes shared in the sidebar there as well.

For example:
http://www.bigstockphoto.com/newsletters/downloaders/2010/07/18-amazing-travel-images/
http://www.bigstockphoto.com/newsletters/downloaders/2010/08/illustrator-vector-face-tutorial/

The primary reason that we don't contact each featured contributor is because we feature hundreds of contributors and photos through different vehicles (newsletters, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, our homepage, our featured collections, trade show presentations, etc...) and it's often not practical to contact everyone (although your point is well taken and we'll look at if something can be done in the long-term).  Contributors will also work with us to create tutorials.

If you're not already doing so, you should keep an eye on both blogs, The Upload and The Download.

Best,

Scott

congrats!

its a beautiful shot that I'd be proud of it was mine. A really nice collection and imo it certainly deserves to be in there (better than the lousy rockclimber - nah only joking leaf :):))

the fact it was taken with p&s is only testamount to your skill.
