What is the cheapest waterproof camera or camera + housing?

Or best performance for cost of same?

What do you mean by waterproof?
Do you want to do diving? How deep?

I have a G7 Ikelite setup. Not that cheap but works really well. Trouble with really cheap is the results tend to be really cheap unless you get a good used system someplace.

I bought a canon D10 for my wife. Waterproof to 30 ft. I wouldn't use it for stock though. Great for vacation/pool pics though.

I have a cheap one for P&S Powershot.  Dslr housings are hugely more expensive.  Dive shops in  your trip area tend to rent them, although they may only have a packe for this Nikon or that Canon.
