I voted USD 1500 but it could even stay around 2k  though I don't expect a dramatic price drop since it still is a great camera.I don't know if they still have many of it in stock ,which I think  could affect the new price too.

Yeah stokfoto ... supply will be a big thing. I have been checking all the Drop Shipper sites and they have reduced the price down to about $1450USD.

So I imagine there is still a good supply of grey market.

It could also be that Canon got so many backorders cancelled when they raised the price, and now they have less backorders to fill.
Whatever the reason, so much the better for all of you who are planning to buy it.

I don't expect it to go too low - but it depends on how many do they still have in stocks and how well they will be going out...
