For those who are into Nikon, what model do you use?

I've put the Coolpix models as a single category as there are way too many to give each one an individual box. Maybe, if you use one you could state the model in a separate post.

I have also given a maximum of 4 votes as many photographers have more than one camera. That should cover it, don't you think?

You need to add the D300 to the list.

Sorry ... I hit the wrong key and it posted all by itself   :-[

You've only got 2 votes, and I don't seem to be able to change that. Choose your favourite 2   ;D

He something is wrong withyour poll.
I added a vote for other model, because I use a D300, and now it shows filmcamera. I clicked the page back and it really shows a dot at other model, so I didn't vote filmcamera

I'm not sure what happened.     :o     I was listing the options when it suddenly posted, all by itself.

I went back to it through 'Edit Poll' but that doesn't allow me to change the number of votes - only add more options.

I'd rub it out and start again if I could, but I can't see how to do that either.

Help!

are you sure you can't change it to 4... ?
anyhow I changed it for you if that is fine.  I can change it back to 2 if you want, if you can't.

To clarify, are you asking which ones we have or which ones we use for stock? I have 3 Nikons but only use 2 for stock.

For stock photography ... not counting the little Coolpix you may carry in your pocket for family snaps.

I've changed the question accordingly.

Maybe you should add the Fuji S1, S2, S3 and S5. They are really Nikons, but with a different sensor.

When's a Nikon not a Nikon?

Well... a Nikon is a Nikon with a Sony sensor (mostly). A Fuji is a Nikon with a Fuji sensor (and a different battery  :( ). I'm getting my S5 next week. Apart from the name and the lack of a red triangle, it looks exactly like a D200    :)

A Nikon is not a Nikon if it can't accept Nikon lenses.

Hang on to it. It'll be a collector's item one of these days.   :)

Any other Nikon users out there who'd like to add their cameras to the list? It won't cost you anything except a few strokes of your mouse finger.

Canon users may believe it's right   ;)   but I don't believe that only 2.25% (38/1687) of us on this forum use Nikons.

I voted but I can also voice it.  ;) I have a D300 with a D70 as a backup.

Maybe another pole someday with the various camera brands. You could allow multiple selections for people who might have a Nikon, Canon, Fuji for example. Personally I have Canon, Canon, Canon and Canon. (kind of like spam?)

The objective would be, what camera brand do you use to shoot stock. Other possible questions for the future, what resolution, what lenses do you own, and way too many complicated details. :)

I wonder how many people, other than multi-millionaire household name photogs, shoot with two different systems?

When I graduated beyond the Box Brownie and Agfa bellows camera (Remember them? Took 127 film) I bought a Nikkormat. Have been with Nikon ever since, mainly because I can't bear to get rid of all those lenses I've accumulated ... some pretty good, though old. Glass I bought 20 years ago is still going strong on my current camera body.

So far we've got 57 cameras represented and 44 photographers.

1.29 cameras per photographer. In other words, only about a quarter of us use more than one camera for stock.
