In case you didn't see it elsewhere, Canon just released an update for the Canon 500D / Rebel T1i

The update fixes two things
1. Enhances the reliability of Live View shooting
2. Fixes incorrect indications on the Arabic, English, and Swedish menu screens

and can be gotten here
