Yes, they should be all on Fotosearch.

New uploads at Canstock take about a week before showing up on Fotosearch.

If you can't find your images on Fotosearch, contact customer support at Canstock. They will sort it out.

mtkang,

HERE is your portfolio on Fotosearch.

Or just do a search for "artist:mtkang".  Hope that helps!

Hi Dan,

What is your Can Stock Photo username?  The easiest way to find your images on Fotosearch is to do a search for "artist:USERNAME"

I'll have to say, those big fotosearch purchases sure make uploading to CanStockPhoto worthwhile. Grin

I just saw that fotosearch use auto translating.   Not pretty I tell you!!  Straight from english to Swedish doesn´t work always.

ok artist=name works
but.... when I try to narrow down to see just my footage files it still shows stills + motion

Same for canstock, there is not easy way to  know how many clips I have there, footage and pictures portfolio are mixed

Would be nice to have a fix:)

MicrostockExp,

Ask and you shall receive!
Your video files on CanStock are here (went to your profile, clicked "View Portfolio", selected "Stock Footage" in the file type filter)

I don't think Fotosearch has the same functionality, but I forwarded on your suggestion to them, so in the future you may see that ability added.

Hello Duncan, I have a problem and a couple of questions.
First, the problem.
If you link to this: http://www.fotosearch.com/CSP244/k2447056/ you can see one of my images, or... half of it, because the upload was bad. Can you delete it? Can you also control that other images weren't given the same treatment?
Second question: I have 1648 images approved on CanStockPhoto. How can I have 3278 images on fotosearch? From what other sites do you take images?
Third and last: I have sorted my images for recency, but the most recent is from some month ago. When do you put online more recent photos? And why sorting by relevancy the photos that jump first are also the older ones?
Ok, these are actually four questions Wink
Thank you very much

Hi Koufax73,

I deleted that image for you, as the original file appears to be corrupted. Could you re-upload?  It's removed from CanStockPhoto, and should be removed in Fotosearch fairly soon.

Regarding the Fotosearch portfolio count, I can't speak on behalf of exactly how their search engine works - but I believe they are simply double counting your images. Basically all your images show up in both the "Professional" and "Budget" tabs. If you close one of the tabs, you'll see your count appears about accurate.

It usually takes a day or two for your images to show up in our search engine after when they are initially approved. So when ordering by newest, any really recent images may not show up yet.  If you find that the photos take more than 2 days, just open a support ticket and we'll give it a kick for you.

Our "relevency" order takes into account a number of factors, although it primarily assumes you're searching via a keyword. If you are not including a keyword, the default will favor images with more activity (sales/views/etc). So in that specific situation you may find it sorts largely from oldest to newest.  This of course is a very specific example, as for public image searches a keyword is required, which is what we primarily order by.

Hope that helps!

Duncan

Thank you very much Duncan, and sorry if I made some question directly related to Fotosearch instead of CanStock.
But I have no questions about CanStockPhoto: I'm happy as it is... (ok, I'd like to see some more sale but I'm hopeful for the future Wink )

Duncan, sorry, but I'm back...
I've sorted for "recency" and I've find that my newest images are in the middle of older photos, actually at page 5.
Normally it isn't a big problem, but you know, with Christmas (images) coming...

Koufax73,

If you try now, they should be in order of upload date. Previously they were being ordered a bit differently if doing a photographer only search, organized by newest.

Cheers,

Duncan

Thanks again but... It doesn't work. I see again as more recent images of one or two months ago. But maybe it is my mistake.

Wow, I know I'm late coming into this thread, but I'm blown away by the helpfulness of you, Duncan, to your contributors. You just earned a lot of loyalty from me for that (let me just say that I've gotten too used to being considered "insignificant" at another site that I stuck with consistently for over three years). I recently activated my account at Can Stock and am excited to see where things go.

I do have a question about Fotosearch--would you happen to know offhand what distinguishes 'budget' from 'professional' images? Is it a resolution consideration, perhaps?

Thanks.

(Btw, 'asbritton' on CanStockPhoto)

Hey transl8,

Sorry I only came across your reply now. In terms of Fotosearch's "budget" vs. "professional" images, the budget images are microstock files (CanStockPhoto), while the professional files are from traditional brands (Getty, etc).

Hope that helps!

Duncan
