I just noticed that CS allows images to be given categories.  unless I'm wrong, it seems this option is only available AFTER the image has been reviewed. which is a pain in the butt.  does anyone here add categories for their images on CS?

I never noticed that before. Not sure it is worth the trouble. When doing a search in CanStockPhoto, I don't see an option to search by Category.

No.
Personally I find categories useless.
I have worked for years with different magazines and I have never seen a photo editor using the categories to search an image.
People know what they want. If they want a banana they will use the keyword "banana" and not the categories "food' or "fruits and vegetable"

When Peter sold out Stockxpert and started Stockfresh he did not build in categories because nobody ever used them. Said it wasn't worth doing....something along those lines.

No. Canstock is too small. Only reason for uploading is because it is simple. Not filling in any categories in agency earning 3% of income.
