Whats is " professional composition " ?
-
You are trying to make sense of the inherently subjective and often randomly applied rules of each agency reviewer. Good luck with that!
I'm sure rule of thirds and golden mean will figure in an answer, but the bottom line is they didn't like the composition and to make it sound less arbitrary, they classified what they don't like as unprofessional :)

I would tell them that your professional composition is reserved for professional level prices which they don't offer.

Haha, good ones.
Its a daring composition for sure. I guess it only works on human faces.

Duplicating it, flipping it and assembling the two parts together you will get an extra-professional composition… :P

agreed -- pretty much anytime a subject is cropped you'll get ding'd for poor composition
reviewers seem to think that buyers must be offered a chance to crop an image themselves, while ignoring the fact that an arresting image might attract more buyers; this shouldn't be a decision made by reviewers -- they should be looking at technical issues only
