Three or four months ago I have submitted 5 photos with banknotes (Euros and Dollars) on Can Stock Photos.

The photos are similar but different, one is with only Euros, one with Dollars, one with Euros and Dollars with Euros on the top, one with euros and Dollars with Dollars on the top, and one with Euro banknotes and coins.

The photo with Euros banknotes and coins has been approved fast and without any problem.

But the others are still pending.

I have sent a ticket to CS and they answered me :
The images pending a secondary review include representations of currency and will take longer to research due to copyright concerns.

So I have asked them why these four images have copyright concerns and not the one that they have accepted, and why on their site there are already a lot of photos with Dollars and Euros.
Of course they never answered me and my four photos are still pending

If there is some copyright concern they should know it, it is their job, no?
And I dont think that they need four months to solve this king of problem because with all the photos of banknotes that they have they should already have studied similar cases

several months ago, i had submitted a batch of new banknotes to a certain site, who rejected all due to copyright issues or something like that. some countries do not allow their currencies to be photographs due to counterfeit issues or whatever. while others only allow you to take a representation of it ie. a portion, one side, folded,etc.. but never flat out full face and back.

again, as i said, in certain countries, even a photocopy is considered counterfeiting.

so maybe that is the delay. still, i am not sure banknotes sell much either, as most banknote producers like de la rue, etc  supply newspapers, etc of such copies if they need to print a banknote in a new media, etc.
just my own insight. but i am seldom right, and most time wrong  ;)

my newer version of Photoshop will not even open up images of the newer U.S. dollars- it tells me to ask permission for the treasury department...

Recently I'm having quite a few images pending forever... subjects that a regular reviewer would have no problem figuring it out. But most importantly, this is likely to become my worst month ever at CS (even worst than my first month). Zero sales with 500 files, I'm tempted to stop uploading there.

That's unusual for me. The review waiting time is between 24 and 72 hrs with batch of 40

I have about 40 pending but I really don't care when all I made so far this month is $1.75 with 2800 images.

I've been having unresolved problems with Canstock since October 2014.

I have about 50 pending.  It started with 8 photos of a batch of 20, then every week 3 to 5 newly uploaded files got "stuck" too.  Now I have 50 "forgotten" photos ...  The oldest are more than 4 months old.

My sales are picking up again in January. Reviews are ok as well. Seems they have the issue they had under control.

I've stopped loading to them it's just stupid to continue.

In over three years of loading images and I still haven't reached payout.

$1 or $2 per month is the best I ever saw I make more with a single ODD at SS than I did in a whole month at Canstock ::)

Mine were reviewed in 3 days... Well, I suppose some pictures take longer to process? Regarding the case of many months waiting I would not hesitate to upload those pictures again. I think that in September-October - according to CanStockPhoto forum - they were updating their system and some pictures might have got lost? By the way, my favourite site. Although sales are not high, they are constant, uploading is simple and rejection rate is low...

Good luck. I guess it comes down to what your time is worth. Only you can determine that. 30/50 Bucks a month is not what I would consider successful.

I actually had a pay out in December!
Since then $1-30 of sales. I haven't uploaded anything since 2010. I have just over 300 photos there, but decided it was not worth uploading any further. I won't close my account, its nice to get a pay out every couple of years.

illustration takes forever to get the preview image and be able to edit it to submit. .... very anoying. Why just don't submit the JPG at the same time ? like everywhere else ?

I really do not want to know how much  the Canstock pays for fraud advertising, with such a big lie about review time. Now is advertised "UNDER 6 HOURS".
And we all know how crazy long CS review times are.
Yess, money can buy everything.
Shame for our MSG!

Still having my vecor in the queue ... Always the same message with the same number of queue files. I've contact them twice ... no usefull answer.

You have 13 EPS files waiting, there are 24167 files ahead of yours in the queue.
Converting EPS files for web previews can be a slow process. Our system occasionally gets behind and can take some time to catch up. Thank you for your patience.

it's been weeks with 24167 files ahead !!! Something is stuck please CS do something about it.

The Canstock site is a mess, the number of files ahead of mine in the queue hasn't changed for months.
They need professional help.

Yeah, the review times may be "quick", the pending queue sure as hell isn't. Waiting days before the images can be SUBMITTED after uploading is ridiculous. That really shouldn't take more than 10 minutes for any decent server.
