Anybody here posting their photos @ crestock??? If so, they just emailed that they'll be announcing their new marketing strategy on August 30. I wonder why the wait?  Huh

WHATEVER!

This is not directed at you Boylet Smiley but at Crestock themselves. They've been "creative" and been doing "marketing" for a year now. They have all these "awesome" articles on "featured" photographers and "photographic" techniques. And guess what? Their top photogs (like Logos, Dolgachov, Dashek, etc... you know the "big" guys getting thousands of downloads per month on other sites) have about 30 downloads TOP in the last year. So pardon me for being a bit sarcastic, slightly sceptical and highly ironic. But until these guys actually do some work, I'm not going to submit a single photo to them.

Yeah ... It's a good thing I dont spend much time uploading on that site... way too picky for me. I'm having a hard time comprehending what their definition of "stock photos". Well, I submitted, they rejected, not my loss.

Yeah, I started submitting to Crestock, too. They seem to have a hellishly tough acceptance policy and I get a huge rejection rate.

It does bug me when they say (for a rejection) that  ... 'The creative content did not accord with our standards. We invite you to address these concerns. ' But then they don't say what their creative standards are so that I can 'address them'.

I mean ...  what are 'creative standards', anyway? The whole thing's hugely subjective.

Anyone else any experience with Crestock?

High rejection rate, except for vector illustrations.  Just 35 images online.  No sales.

I have had one sale with them (for 16 images accepted so far) so I'm hanging on in. You never know ...

F*** them.
I just told them to close my account there.
I've had it with their F***ing high brow rejection notices. They live in the North of Norway(= mega rural), but take special care to sound like some posh Cambridge twats. Any money from them is purely hypothetical and long in the future, and so I'm not going to waste my time uploading and get slapped in the face with their stupid little notes afterwards.

Now, if only they have also redifined their definition of "stock"....  Undecided

I kind of hope they dont make it big - I am not currently submitting to them (since currently they haven't sounded promising) so it would just be another to add to the list.

So let me know how they go and only once they start getting good sales, can someone give me a referal link.
