I'm not waiting for them to pay up and my images will never be distributed through them again (actually I had the images removed about 3 months ago) ... WOOO I've never been so happy to get a piddly @ss 60 bucks LOL

I'm glad I dropped them like a hot potato within the first month I was with them. Just wish I had done the same with some of the other sites I'm stuck in. Undecided

Nice to see they are still sluggin through payouts.  I am still with them and have a payout that is several months waiting.  I'm keeping patient.

I got a payout with them (in my case $28) pretty quickly when I closed my account last week - shame it took the threat of legal action to get it.

I think their official policy is that if you don't reach $50, they keep the amount because its not worth their while to process anything less manually. When you're already paying the lowest commission in the industry (ok I understand some contributors get a "special deal"), try to undercut everyone else's rates with some of the cheapest subscriptions, then you could at least manage to spend a few minutes to pay some mealy earnings.

One agency I certainly won't miss!

So I will get my money if I close my account?

I closed my account with them in February - they were very fast at this.  Payout still pending, though, and I was going to write them.

So I could have gotten my earnings before I reached US$50?  I wished I had known it. Sad

Their initial response was:
As detailed in the Contributor Agreement, we are unfortunately not able to pay any remaining balances below the payout threshold even in the case of account closures. This is in order to keep the number of low value payments that require manual processing to a minimum.

to which I replied:

The contributor agreement is silent in regards to what happens to outstanding balances in the event of account closure, which is why I sent the question.

The relevant (unnumbered) clause of the agreement deals with situations in the ordinary (continuing) course of the contract. If you want to imply that termination of the agreement for whatever reason results in the forfeiture of outstanding balances, this would need to be expressly stated in the agreement, and it would be contrary to the first sentence of that clause.

So basically paying out low balances isn't official policy, they just need a little "persuasion".

apparently you can ask for your images to be removed without actually closing your account. Hopefully someone will confirm this Smiley

I stopped uploading early last year but kept the images there. The last three payouts came in one lot, about 6 months after requesting the first payout. Next week I hit payout again, and that will be the third outstanding again and I intend to ask for images to be deleted then.

I can confirm this. I deleted all my images off there, but I can still sign in under my user name and password. I figures once all the images were gone it would be closed, but apparently not.

Sales are still happening, payments are coming in. No harm done.

In all fairness though, no other agency takes longer for a payout, but they do pay.

Well, I am happy to hear they are at least still paying occasionally. I closed my account in early May, had a payout requested back in... ohh... February? May be before that. They closed my account within a couple of days (so now I can't even log in at all), but still no payout. Huh.

I really don't know how they do it.

I've always done very well at Crestock but am not happy with the way this site is going.
I have several payments pending since February and still nothing. Won't be uploading anymore. Angry
