Im extremely mad with this site "crestock"!
I now that all sites reject and i now that no one like to see is work rejected but is a part of this game!
What make me mad is the fact that this last rejections only occurs in crestock! I upload a batch of 12 images for all the big 6 and they all are approved (istock include that i consider that is the more difficult to pass). If this 6 think that they are good enough why did crestock don accept any? And what make me ever hungry is that is the site were we received only 0,25$ (why did i even upload there if they pay so bad??????)
But crestock rejected all for contrast and focus!!

I also nows that my photos are not the best and i have a lot to learn but...
Dam im hungry! Because im stupid enough to upload there!!!!

Crestock's rejections are often totally stupids, I've 80% of "out of focus" in my last two batchs, that's ridiculous!
Why they pay only 25c? Because they need money to buy new screens, glasses and medical inspection for reviewers.

You are totally there  ;)

Like i said i now that the photos are not perfect. But they are not so easy to make. I must hung my self about 30 meters from the floor in several waterfall with the camera wrap with plastic bags because the water. wall in paths that not even the sheep walk, swing in frozen rivers with my camera on the back and pass dark tunnels to get there!!

I didn't want to start this thread only because I promised my self I won't complain because of rejections anymore. But thank you for starting this thread. Rejections type: "Out of focus" are most often rejections I get there. I don't know what they expect? Maybe they expect "vector photography", or maybe they expect that we all have 30Mpix cameras??
Maybe their reviewers inspect our photos at 1000%. In that case everything must be out of focus. I really don't have a clue.
So I decided not to upload there anymore. I did that once, in spring, but after one month I started again. This time I really decided to stop. I will keep my portfolio of barely 31 images there (of more than 200 uploaded) just to keep my user name reserved. But I won't loose my time uploading there until they start to spit more money...for example until they get into first three earners (if they ever do). Personally, I think they have to high opinion of them selves. They will maybe succeed in their desire to have "the most quality images on internet", but also, they could fail. For now, when I get 21 rejections of 22 uploaded files, the only feeling I have is that they want to prove me that my work is miserable and not good enough for them. I know they probably don't want me to think that, but that is the feeling I get after mass rejections I get from them.

p.s.: When I just remember in the beginning, when I tried to correct my photos after rejections from them and to upload again in hope they will be accepted. What a fool I am  :D

Rejections can be harsh, but its not to be a senseless means of controlling the input of images to Crestock. Rather, its based on the demands of the client. A satisfied, returning customer will double revenue without any money being spent. A pleased, returning customer will bring other customers and exponentially increase a customer base. All of this hinges on that a customer does not download a file that is too out of focus for their needs. I'm a photographer not a marketing genius, sorry if my logic is simplistic. But, as a photographer, it is not hard to produce well-focussed, sharp shots. This, i'm afraid, is the easy part and really something that needs to be mastered because otherwise your images will not compete and will get lost in the masses.

In the coming months, we've spent a lot of time in putting together learning material that will hopefully help in mastering some of the basic technical things that will otherwise hold you back. Look forward to releasing that and hopefully making some of your lives and especially photographic workflows a lot easier.

If you have received a senseless rejection that really gives no meaning, mistakes can happen. A glitch in the system can occur. Please contact helpdesk with the details so that they can sort it out for you.

Josh thank you for the reply. But if I get 21 rejections of 22 submitted photos, and it didn't happen only once, plus those files are accepted on other sites, than you should really consider employing some economist who will maybe take a look from another point of view (not only from photographic point of view). I mean, you also should have enough satisfied contributors to satisfy needs of your buyers. You can take a look and see that I have at least 2-3 referrals on every site. But on Crestock I have only one, because when I refer my friends I tell them which site is fine and which is not. And I bet I am not the only one.
You must know that most of us use automatic focus in our cameras. So, I don't know how could I really improve it unless I use my hand and my eye to focus manually (and who says it will be better). Something is really weird with your "out of focus" rejections. It's impossible that other reviewers in other sites don't know what is clear, crisp image.

I am sure there are so many unsatisfied contributors of Crestock and I am sure you don't want this wave to spread too much.

Im not against rejections!! But  Jonh you must agreed that Crestock is very good and leave all competition miles back and have 5 start photos or something is wrong! I dont think you leave you competition  miles back because you are not the top sales site! So if you competition sell this type of images why dont you? after all we are all in this for the money!

And if you want that we learn and get better (we also want that) instead of reject and dont give a reason or say something like "out of focus" or "Technical Quality" you must do like istock, they said what is wrong and sometimes they evan email-me with the crop of the problem so we can understand and get better!

One friend that also sells  in crestock also received one rejection the other day with the explanation that was out of focus, the problem is that was not o photo but one vector illustration!!
Can some one explain that?

I'm just starting in all this but if all other sites accept my pictures and Crestock does not, they should really look into their criteria. Out of more than 20 pictures, they only approved two of them. If their criteria is this much different than all the other sites, something must be wrong either with all the other sites, or Crestock. The answer here is obvious.

I stop uploading there a while back and only got sub sales 0.25 not worth uploading just for that....
Do customers really need perfect sharp pics ? I don t think so....

Totally stupid and unprofessional rejections with the reason "Out of focus".

I sent a very kind letter asking to review again two images (of an enormous pack of rejected ones). No response. (So, Josh, please, don't sing beautiful, but false, songs about help desk!!!). The forum is closed from February. Totally stupid and unprofessional attitude to contributors.  >:(

Just some facts....

I wonder why anyone would contribute to a site that does not produce sales... okay... Yuri said it does.. but does that mean everyone should jump on the bandwagon.?..

I wonder why anyone would submit to a site that has the most rediculuce reject reseons, knowing on forehand the site doesn't deliver....?..

I wonder why anyone would be so stupid to even bother with Crestock...

Point maken.

Well, at certain time Crestock announced that from then on they will have the highest quality requirements in the microstock industry etc. etc. It was at the same time when they introduced $0.25 payments. So, after having one batch rejected in its entirety - I deleted all images and asked them to cancel the account.

crestock is around 1% of income for most people.  therefore it should be 1% of your stress. when it is 1% who cares what they accept?

IMO if you have spare bandwidth then upload, click submit and move on, dont bother looking at what got accepted, time vs income, 1% is in and out the site in a minute or two

My first batch was accepted in proportion 17/20 images, but last was 3/40... 37 images were rejected, main reason was out of focus...

Focus on these pictures was MF, on close up object with 10X live preview mode from tripod... :P

I don't know Could I do better!?

P.S.

I had first sale yesterday with 20 pics in my portfolio...

Why are people accepting such a low commission?  I stopped uploading months ago and they wont get any more from me until they raise the $0.25 commission.  That is far too low when the other sites pay $0.30-0.38.  If we all stopped uploading, they might give us a raise, like fotolia did.
