Topic: FTP temporarily closed while we update to the new site

Our FTP upload option will be closed down for all contributors over the next two weeks to give our reviewers a much needed break and give our programmers a chance to move over your old files to the new site. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause and ask for your patience. The new upload system will feature a new flash upload system as well as the current "browse" and FTP options, only much stronger and more secure. Uploading is going to be a snap going forward. In the meantime, we ask any contributors that you submit all files that are in the edit and describe area before Sept. 1st in order for us to transfer over those files to the new database.

Super excited to show off the new site and how much easier it is to use. If you have questions please post below.

Thank you for the heads up John. Please note that I have a discrepancy between the actual number of files in review mode and the true quantity (actual quantity much less). Just in case such incorrect information hampering the data transfer.

Just uploaded via the site uploader page and the system stripped out all the keywords but retained the title and description.

I use adobe bridge for inputting the iptc data which puts semi colons after each keyword, and it is the semi colons that your system is not accepting as I copied and pasted the keywords and when trying to submit the image your system told me I needed at least 5 keywords. I had to then change the semi colons into commas in order for the system to recognize the keywords.

Please can you get your tech guys to rectify this problem as many people use adobe bridge for their keywording tool, and it is a painstaking job to have to change all the semi colons to commas.  Roll Eyes

Welcome Pixart. Very happy to have you join our community. It will be back up this week as well as the new flash upload system. Can you check back in on Friday or Monday? Thanks for your patience.

Toots- That issue has been fixed and you can upload keywords seperated by a semi colon now. Let me know if you have any problems via email. Thanks

That's brilliant John, thank you. Problem is I haven't any new vectors to upload yet and will be tied up on a website design job for the next few days so unable to try it out right now.

Nope, not fixed  Angry

Just uploaded and again it stripped out the keywords. Also when submitting it did not give any pricing options like the last time I submitted.

FTP is now enabled and ready for uploading. Still use uploads.cutcaster.com as the host and use the email you have registered with Cutcaster or your username to login and your Cutcaster password. Now you can upload and transfer the files to our site from your favorite FTP client. Your files will be automatically processed and added to the submit page. We hope you like the changes and let us know if you have trouble by sending us an email at [email protected]. Thanks
