I put a number of photos on Deposit Photos a couple of years ago and have been making about $20-$30 a month since.  I haven't uploaded anything there in a couple of years.

However, last month I had one day where I made $61 all from on demand sales.  Great, but I figured it was a one off thing, I just checked my numbers for July and in July I had one day with $125 in on demand sales.   Apart from these two days, every day in June and July has been a buck or two as normal.  Anyone know what is happening to get me these big days, and if there is anything I can do to get more of them?

Congratulations.  My sales at Deposit are up too. This month I sold more photos at Deposit than SS... The interesting thing is I sold recent images and not the old ones like at SS, FT (dead), Getty/iStock (underground) ...

In the past they had a glitch like this where full payment was made by mistake into the account of the artist. It was one of the ways we found out that we were getting royally hosed by them.  Once they reversed the royalties it was mostly a sub, but the image actually sold for a rate like you are seeing.  So like $60, then adjusted you got 30 cents and they kept $59.70.  I am not saying that this is the case but I would bet not trust that until you have the money in your bank.

My biggest day with Depositphotos has been the day when I have found a good auto-cliker and have disabled all my portfolio

Well I just put in the request to withdraw the earnings so will see if they show up in my Paypal account in two weeks.

I did some more digging into the stats and it was one photo that was sold on demand many times during those days.  Some website or email list must have linked to that photo to drive all the traffic and purchases but I don't think I will ever find out why, just hope it happens again.

With 30 photos for $29 why would anyone use On Demand at all? Hope it's real.

Has anyone here ever had the free photo of the week on DP? Do they pay for a huge number of subs, since we aren't free? That could be nice.

Ask the OP but does that mean somebody downloaded 500 OD files to make that $125? Sounds fishy to me. I don't like and don't trust DP. The same people that run it, also run a free photo site.

To close the loop on this, I just received my payment into Paypal today so seems like it is real and not a scam, hopefully will happen a couple more times before my luck runs out.
