How is the upload system there? I'm thinking about uploading my portfolio there. Any annoying categories to click threw? Batch processing functions for release forms?

Thanks!

You have to go through their review process first to be accepted but I don't find it to be very hard submitting there. My link is at the bottom if you want to use it. Any more questions just ask

And you are required to pick at least one catagory

actually the submission screen is laid out a whole lot better than other sites .. less clicking and less scrolling to get the same thing done. I processed 500 photos in a single evening while kicked back in my chair in front of the TV .. it was a pretty sweet $100.

Not the best one in industry. At least they got ftp but later it's very frustrating. One category is mandatory. Bulk editing is very primitive so you can easily overwrite meta data if you select two images with different ones.

Add to this that server seems to be overloaded and constantly logs you out :-)

Thanks for the tips. I have thousands of shots, so I like to create some kind of a "game plan" for each site I do a big upload to.

I got around 4000 images uploaded there but I cannot stand processing more than 200 at one session. Even Veer got better user interface.

Personally I find it very easy to upload and process,,but I don't have 4000 images either...I'm lucky to have 300+ on there right now ;)

I am saying it's the worst but comparing to YAY or CanStockPhoto it's just little cumbersome for me. If they fix server problems which cause logging me out on every click, I will suffer to my next 250 photos accepted and next payout ;-)

It is a shame they have categories, that slows things down.  The worst problem I find is that a lot of my titles are too long, that really does waste my time editing those.  My titles are often too short for BigStock, can't win doing this sometimes :(

Not only that. If either title or description contain quotes (like "fishermen's boat"), the title and/or description will be reported as too long.
Then, 160 characters for the description is really too short. Most of mine are truncated. I settled for the 220 limit on SS.
Finally, the title is taken from the IPTC field "object name", as most sites (except SS) do, but if there is something in the IPTC field "headline", it takes precedence. That's very annoying for me since no site uses that field, and I use it to put in the model's name. I have to replace manually the title of all images with a model. I wish they sticked at least to de facto rules of IPTC usage and size of the other sites.

Have you tryed customer support about it? Kelly is very helpful and would proubably be open to suggestions about any problems you are having with the site.

I find the upload and submitting process fast. Not as fast as YAY Micro but faster then SS, DT, FT and others. On top of it you get payed for the first 500 images and they have a good referral and affiliate program. Hope the start advertising soon so that there will be more sales.

I haven't had any problems with there server. Never got logged out. The site always responds fast. Review times is usually a couple of days and the rejection rate is low. Most rejection are because of "similar images".

Thanks for info guys! I just sent in my application.

One thing I like about an upstart like this is they seem to understand they have to invest heavily in the startup phase before they really roll out. Paying every photographer $100 just to submit ports adds up really fast. My rough calculation of what they *may* have spent so far on content aquistion came out to about $600,000.

That's a shame !  They were very quick to start with, and I've just uploaded another 80 !!  Long wait then :)

They were very quick with their review times at first but now I find they take 6 or 7 days. It depends rather you upload close to the weekends. They are sorta like shutterstock in that aspect because I don't believe they review on weekends.

The pics on the homepage are the same at the weekends.

Interesting and impressive for a new site - coming out of blue to #13 by traffic (among sites I track)

Not so.  I'm getting Shutterstock reviews on the weekends.  Heck, I've had two batches reviewed this weekend already.

That's strange...I never get anything reviewed over a weekend and don't usually get any sales either. maybe I just submit them at the wrong time. Oh well... ;)

Some of my photos are approved for selling, but I didn't get my 0,20$ per upload?
When?

if it is not activated you won't get paid for uploading.
