Is it just me or DP got REALLY picky over some time now? Firstly it was low commercial value, and now I get tones of rejections based on "too many / similar" reason. Even though these are quite different photos and SS / FT accepts the whole batch. I mean DP isn't that good to be this kind of picky, is it...? What do you think? Anyone still uploading there?

What do I think? I think I'm sick of these "xxx agency won't accept my photos" whining.

They paid up front for all the people who would sell out for a 25c prepaid. That was a collection of the biggest artists and desperate people. DP then changed all the rules, sold us under the table and cheated us through the back door. But some people stayed, because they are so desperate to work for the crooks.

That's why DP doesn't need more photos. They have enough and enough artists who will take any minimum slave wage working for them.

Rejected by DP is a compliment and a way to tell you, they aren't worth working for.

To echo what other people have said, if you are uploading to DP their inspection standards are the least of your problems.

Yup, I stopped with Dreamstime some time ago. Not only the sales but also what pissed me off was their "no sales on the photo = going to free or you click it wont" policy.
-_-

Nah, I'm not whining, just wondering. I mean SS might be picky (even though lately they're just opposite), IS might be picky, but honestly DP is a kind of strange...

Can you elaborate? How did they cheated? I mean I know they don't pay much but it doesn't seem way less than other sites.

Please do a search on this site. The list has gotten too long now. It would take a book to give you whole history of what depositphotos has been up to from day one.

Yes, I had the same rejection reason this month and also those images were accepted by all others, even DT.
I have ~40 in my earnings and I will not miss them once I make payout. That will take a while with these sub downloads.

Deposhitphotos is the worst they are proven cheaters and liars, no sympathy for anyone still uploading there and whining about rejections.

I'm fairly new and small time in this business (about 150-300 photos each on a couple sites), and I haven't bothered with DepositPhotos in the past, but given the situation at Shutterstock, I thought I'd check out Wirestock and see how that works (with the idea of getting to a higher level faster) and since Wirestock supports DepositPhotos, it's easy enough to click another box and include them. My first 9 just came back all rejected by DP for noise (There are another 20 pending). Is this typical? All of these were accepted by Shutterstock or Adobe (and mostly by both) and were taken in broad daylight at low ISO and honestly it never occurred to me noise would be an issue on them (Adobe usually nails me if I try to push it a little on noise). I don't generally have issues with rejections on the other sites90%+ acceptance.

Is this typical of DP? It's not much work to click the extra box on Wirestock, but certainly these results are not making me enthusiastic about working with them, especially given that they seem to be a pretty small site to begin with.

The rejections came from Wirestock not DP. WS tells us nothing of what happens after we upload, except if they decide we don't meet their standards to upload to the other agencies.

Upload the same images to DP yourself and see what happens.  :)

Wirestock has become irrelevant by their own actions and has created a terrible review system that rejects accepted and sold images. Example: I upload my own to SS, AS. The images have been accepted and sold. I selected those same because of WS exclusive requirement, and picked DP, DT and P5 for submission.

They were rejected by Wirestock for distracting elements or the horizon or "exposure". As a result, Wirestock is the problem.

This is really good to knowthank you. I didn't realize that Wirestock had it's own layer of review on top of the sites'. It seems really sillywouldn't they want anything that could make it on one of the sites to be there? They're not even paying to host itit's just an opportunity to make money for them. Not looking like a good option...

Same change for myself. I have accepted photos on the top agencies, and now WS is refusing them for DP, DT and P5.

Yes they have instituted their own review standards which are computer assisted and flawed. Images that have sold on SS and AS are rejected. They started out with good support and responding. When I asked about the flawed rejections, no answer. I guess that means, they aren't going to answer. So much for a place with so much potential.

I never minded a legitimate or reasonable rejection, but when it becomes machine learning and arbitrary, I'm done.

I haven't noticed any unusual changes in acceptance ratios for DP. Seems like a usual, steady seller from my perspective. Best to you, Lee
