Now if this isn't a misuse of keywords or bad keywords, which ever you think, I don't know what is!! It's a stack of tires with the title name of "Open Bible"...the word tires isn't even included in the keywords. Here's the photo

Or more likely just a copy&paste mistake.

I was looking at his portfolio and he does have one that is a old bible. I contacted support and told them they needed to contact the photographer about the mistake. I don't think he will be getting any sales for that one..

It does quite look like a simple copy-paste mistake - a few of his images in the top row have the same title and keywords as the picture of the tires. Glad that you took the trouble and wrote to support about it.

Well it would have lost the photographer sales as well as deposit photos. Some times those late night shifts working on pictures and getting them uploaded, you kinda forget you didn't Ctrl+c when you highlighted those keywords and still had the old keywords and were to tried to even notice. I've even made that mistake before.

I love the ease of their upload process but you do have to watch what your doing. If you click one of the small thumbs it automatically changes all your data to that of the clicked image - including assigned MR's.

I'm sure this is what happened and he didn't even realize it.  I had to delete a good 20 images when I realized I didn't have the "categories" button checked as well - I was copying 100% including MRs from some isolated people. lol

To me this seems like the perfect reason why keywords should be checked by reviewers when images are uploaded...on all sites. The image would be rejected, the submitter would have a chance to fix the keywords and re-upload, and the image wouldn't be in front of buyers, who will see that come up in a search for bible or religion and be annoyed, possibly going elsewhere.

I didn't realize it even changed your MR releases as well. I'll have to remember that in the future. I don't usually use it because I always try make sure everything is already key-worded before I upload and saves me the process on 9 different sites. But ever now and then they do sneak by and when they do I get really irritated having to redo and redo on each and every site.

That poor photographer probably wonders why he has 56 views...when I first looked at it there was only 1...being me. They are probably all from here.

Well in the Bible it talks about "Tyre" and Sidon so maybe that's it

Or maybe he's amongst us here secretly blushing and knowing very well where those views came from.  Wink

Dont get me started on keyword spam.....   YIKES!!!
Perfect example....  and let me say up front... I've no issue with the photos that will show up.. all fine photography..   I'd just like to know how they're related.

go to brand new Thinkstock..   type in  'modern livingroom'  and see what turns up on the 1st twenty images..       maybe it's me...

what's the red & white hand?    click on the silverware and look at the keywords...  'furniture,  ivingroom......  ?

but this old Bible looks like an honest mistake....   Cool=tom

My 2 cents:
1. Bad design of their batch tool interface leads to overwriting image IPTC data
or
2. Clever marketing, hawks from MSG will notice that and generate traffic to his portfolio :-)
