Anyone else getting an annoying popup asking them to connect through Facebook every time they navigate to Dreamstime?  I am getting this thing constantly and it's driving me nuts.  How do I make it stop?

Sure hope buyers aren't being hassled this way when they come on the site  Shocked

Lisa- I didn't get it until you posted this. Now it's there all the time! Wink Still, it's not as bad as captcha on SS.

I got it earlier today. I remedied it by not going back.  Cheesy

Just kidding. I think I went back this afternoon and didn't get it, but I don't have to relog in every time I leave the site. Maybe that's why.

I noticed it yesterday too.  I'm not on facebook anymore so dunno why that keeps popping up at all.  Wonder if there's a way to disable it.  I'm gonna go look.

*edit*

Guess not nothing in the profile linking anything to facebook.  Possibly a glitch.  Haven't had Facebook since May 18th wonder why that started popping up now?

I've NEVER had facebook.  I don't think your facebook account status has anything to do with the popup.  Although it certainly should.

I'm also NOT on facebook and I get the pop up every now and then - it appears to me to be random for some reason.

I don't understand why contributors need to be bothered with that - or the buyers for that matter as well...?

It's the Facebook connect button. If you link your facebook account through it then you can post when you have new images or sales, with a link to the images. I don't know how you would disable it. It only pops up if you have new sales or approved uploads - which explains why Lisa gets it all the time. Smiley

They were having a glitch issue with it earlier this month, it have reset to everyone when they fixed the glitch.

Thanks for the explanation Nancy Smiley

Just got a not over at DT that they are working on this.  Hope it is solved soon.

Sales are so good there this week that I feel kind of bad complaining about this.  But if I find it annoying, chances are customers will too.

customers shouldn't be seeing it at all, since it's a way for contributors to brag about their uploads and sales.

I'm getting the popups. I do have a FB account and many of my connections have the DT addon, but I don't.

How can I get rid of it?

I would assume it will go away on its own Adelaide.  It appears DT is aware of the problem and is working on a solution.

And now for the daily woot and shameless plug portion of the program...I've been back at DT for a month and just got my first image up to a Level 2.  The long road back...   Grin

I've never done this Twitterface thing either and I haven't uploaded to DT for months so I don't know why I've been inundated with their stupid messages. Very, very irritating.

Facebook cr@p is proliferating all over the web.   Every web seller is afraid they're missing a boat.  It will be nice when all this social networking hysteria burns itself out.

Hmmm, I only got it once or twice and dismissed it and haven't seen it again. Wonder if it's related to the browser? I am using Firefox on Mac. And I have a FB account. But I have it set up so that I don't have to log in every time. Hope I just didn't jinx myself!  Smiley

I agree, I'm about tired of it, too.

Just signed in and didn't get the popup!  Yay!!

Ciprians, one of the DT admins, posted that they think they have it fixed.  Also, Achilles, was involved in seeing that it was addressed.

Gotta love that guy - the only site owner I know of who personally involves himself in making sure the site runs smoothly.  Probably the reason that a programming glitch at Dreamstime is such a very RARE thing.
