As I understand it, the commission at Dreamstime is still 50% and this is approximately what we should receive for each per picture sale. I understand that this fluctuates slightly depending on the credit package purchased and when it was purchased but I am confused by a sale recently.

It was a 12 credit sale for which I received $2.94. Can this be right? Thought I would ask advice here before taking it to Dreamstime support.

When you look at your earnings (@ http://www.dreamstime.com/earnings), what does it say under the Price column?

Most of mine say "xx credits (2008)", where xx is some numeric amount.

I'm wondering if yours says something different.

What does it say under the Resolution column and the License column?

Under the DT image pricing site (@ http://www.dreamstime.com/level.php?lvlimag=2#2), it states that a 12 credit image should be priced no lower than $9.24 (for a Level 4 or Level 5 image).

The only thing I can think is that this sale might have come from an "affiliate" site.

It read the same as all my other per image sales:

12 credits (2008) for a Large image (Green level whatever that is!)

Anyway, have emailed support at DT and will see what they say.

According to the following DT web page, a green level image has over 100 sales:

I forgot to add:

Please let us know what it was.  The info might be useful to someone else in the future.

I wouldn't have thought so. We normally get 50c per credit used less whatever the discount was (usually about 10% but can be up to about 18% for huge credit purchases). Your sale works out at 24.5c per credit which seems odd to say the least.

Do let us know what Support advise.

Partner sale, perhaps? Or would it read differently?  I never had anything identified as a partner sale, so I am not sure they are tagged like that.

Good luck with DT support. I've NEVER got clear response about strange royalties from them. Undecided
