What's the deal with DT...I haven't had a D/L since Aug 3rd with over 500 images there and SS is slammin'. Anyone else see a slow down?

They are the worst of the top 4 by a long way.  Looks like Veer might overtake them this month for me.

Why have you put 'lol' on the end of your topic title?

I would say that the website need to be redesigned a little. The random search engine is quite annoying to live with. Finally the Level prices are good for the contributors, but often a bad surprise for buyers with small budget. Which is often the case on Dreamstime IMO.

Dreamstime level 1 and 2 images can be attractive for low budget designers. But since a good pourcentage of the collection already sold a lot, it become annoying to browse. It's just an impression though

Ironically for me, they've been accepting everything I send which is unusual, even some flower pics. Yesterday and today were banner sales days. Trends are odd sometimes.

Funny in a strange way that's typical of them...certainly not funny in a comical way. However, 5 minutes after I started this thread I got a d/l...would you call that "funny" or strange. They're not very consistent.

It's very slow lately. They even closed the "How was your July" thread on the forums. I had 2 giant (relatively) level 5 pics sales yesterday. Since the keywords were N/A and just one hour apart I had a look at the Google Analytics on my site where those pics are on the front page with a link to DT. Lo and belo, somebody visited there and exited by the link to DT. It will end up we'll have to do our own marketing I think.  Tongue

I was planning to start a thread asking if anyone else had a great day at DT today and then I saw this one. I was wondering if they did some sort of marketing push...

Yes, DT is very weak for me to (but I'm not laughing Sad ).
In fact thanks to a couple of EL's I have made twice as much money at Veer than at DT.

I think DT sale vary wildly by contributor.  Maybe some styles or subjects just do better there.

My sales across the board are down, and DT with them, but to be honest I have not seen the rapid, drastic drop there that I have elsewhere.  Just a sort of gradual decline that is to be expected considering the economy and the time of year (summer).

As for redesigning the site - I have yet to see a site redesign rolled out this year that I like.  I hope DT doesn't do a major redesign.  Their site is attractive and functional, and IMHO they stand to pick up customers (if any) who are disenchanted with the IS redesign.

They just did a redesign of their buyers pages, which I frankly don't like. It's too spacious. It seems to be a recent design trend (compare XSP to FreshStock) and I assume it's a conspiracy to give buyers a carpal tunnel syndrome.  Tongue

DT is actually ahead of IS for me so far this month. I think that says more about how dismally IS is doing than that DT is doing well for a change. They have been performing pretty poorly for me since March or so.

DT is fine for me at the moment but I'm lucky if I average a dollar a day on 123rf lately.

August is proving to be a decent month for me at DT. Nothing spectacular, but not bad - just about average.

Maybe not great, but definitely would make a huge difference.

I just wish that I could sell as many images at DT as I do everywhere else.  At this rate it's going to take me another year to reach my first payout.  Although the submitted large jpgs get processed a heck of a lot faster now than it used to.  Not even an hour.  Best day I had there was I believe 5 dls.  Finally got an image to level 2 yesterday which was nice.  Just wish sales were better.

Best search in the world, it usually puts my images on the first page Cheesy
