Subscription pays 35c.  In your earnings report, you can see what type of sale was that (credit vs subs, size)

Some people like them, so don't.  In DT the advantage is that your image can be raised more quickly to the next level, therefore paying you more in a credit sale.

But if I had a choice, I would opt out from subs everywhere.  Unfortunately, this is not a choice in DT.

Adelaide

Within a year of solid uploading, you should be averaging about $1.05-$1.35 per sale at Dreamstime once you factor in high level credit sales and subs.  It averages out pretty well.

More advanced contributors have an even higher commission per sale.

I have to disagree with you on that.  According to my stats the highest i ever reached after almost 4 years is 1.13 average.  I've had an average of more than 1 only twice in this period. This month is already down to 0,83 average, due to too much sub sales and level one images on lowest resolution.  I noticed that once an image reaches a higher level per picture sales become rare and those are downloaded most under subscription.

No, I'd agree with Dan __ my average sale price is continuing to rise as more images reach the higher levels. Here's the last year;

March 2008 412 $414.55 $1.01
April 2008 373 $356.76 $0.96
May 2008 345 $352.95 $1.02
June 2008 369 $334.62 $0.91
July 2008 378 $363.11 $0.96
August 2008 349 $386.44 $1.11
September 2008 338 $409.64 $1.21
October 2008 382 $469.62 $1.23
November 2008 333 $401.41 $1.21
December 2008 254 $286.57 $1.13
January 2009 306 $392.68 $1.28
February 2009 157 $203.69 $1.30

Sub count toward your image levels. Downloads count toward your exposure. Sales average at DT are the highest of all the agencies that is submit to.

I get sub sales on higher level images and I get many downloads with larger size.

It is a win win!!!

Absolutely.  Here are the commissions for an image of mine which recently hit Level 3:

$2.92
$3.13
$0.35
$1.91
$2.92

Average commission  $2.24

Here's another:

$1.80
$2.76
$2.90
$1.80
$0.30
$0.42
$0.42
$4.80
$1.80
$0.42

Average commission $1.74

Both of these images were shot with an 8.1 mp Canon EOS (30D, 1DMkIIn).  So they do not benefit from the very large size sales.  Can't wait to get a couple of my 5D shots to Level 3!   Cool
