I've got some DT credits which I have no use for. How shall I spend them?

You could always buy images from other shooters here at the microstock group if you really have no other use for them....

Well, you can buy images you like :-)

Or you can spend credits on images of some newbies to support them and make them enthusiastic for some more work...

In the past, there have been some discussions regarding credit donations to charities and similar organizations, but I don't think this has been implemented.

Or you can keep them until you need them again :-)

I won't ever need them for anything.

Basically - yes I would be happy to use them up on images where the money goes to charity. If that exists.

Equally I would be happy to use them up in the portfolio of someone who is waiting to go exclusive at iStockphoto but is waiting to cash out.

Ultimately I am happy to spend them in the portfolio of someone here who is starting out.

It's not a huge amount but it would be a pity for them to just sit there.

I don't like clutter.

then you'll have to find some very simplistic ones Smiley

I always keep my credits to buy some image of my friends at DT when they need that last image for their payment. They do the same when I need it. Sometimes is frustrating when you have to wait 2-3 days to reach 100$

It's a great suggestion but I'm quite happy with the backgrounds which Apple includes with the OS.

Hey good question. I too just got 2 credits for my blogs. Was surprised to see them on the top right corner. Hmm? 2 remaining credits? For what? Now I know what they are, thanks to you.
btw, can you add credits to your downloads earnings? or is it only to spend within DT?

Hey that's a nice thought, whitechild. You build good karma for yourself too, doing that!  Wink
Maybe I will do just that when I have enough. Right now I only have 2 tiny ones, ha!ha!

Come to think of it, Whitechild. Since you are so good hearted , and it's your son's birthday, I will use my credit for one of your images. Where are you on DT?

Thank you in advance Cheesy My username on DT is the same as here Smiley
I have 2 friends actually who are buying images from me when I get close to 100$. Also, I buy images from them when they are close. Usually, I make a blog from time to time for this purpose.
If we make netwok big enough, we will be able to buy images among us and earn whole payment this way Cheesy Haha
Kidding. I think it would be illegal, and I think some people are banned from IS because of this. They tried to manipulate their sales this way. But I am sure it's legal to buy some image this way from time to time, And I did it few times without any problems. Those people did the same to me when I needed it.

What is your username on DT? I want to add you

No, but it's only four DLs away from jumping to the next level, which would give me an income boost.
Unlike most here, I do this full time, and every little bit helps ... "If you look after the pennies, and the pounds will look after themselves."

Today I spent one credit buying an image of my fellow photographer. I think it's a good way of spending those.
