This notification was sent by a potential buyer, who is interested in downloading one of your files in additional format.
Buyer needs the RAW format:
Anyone recieved this kind of message from DT and, yes, what did you do?

buyer will never pay a fair price. seen it happen many times, you could ask for example 800 and never hear back again. also very professional of dreamstime to not include any licence details.

Thats what bothers me. It doesn't says anything about price. Do I set the price or what?

The raw file is your negative, your proof of ownership. I wouldnt part with that.

I ssaid No, apparently you can get a sub price for it ( Ichekced some old threads...). It's ridicilous getting 0.30$ for a RAW file.

Got one of these once, a long time ago, replied with a price of a few hundred. Never heard a thing, no counter-offer, no communication from DT. Some "agency".

Yeah, and they send you e-mail from [email protected] you can't even ask more about it.
To be honest, it's below average photo, but giving away raw for possible 30 cents is not worth it.

RAW/additional format sale is not Sell the rights license (the big money) and they pay only "double the royalties for the maximum size".

I've always said no to RAW requests - there are a bazillion reasons why not to do it unless you're selling all rights and for a large amount of money :)

That is the only reason in my opinion.

I guess the reason they'd want the RAW file is the same reason why you shot it in RAW in the first place. Unless there was some reason for me to suspect they had nefarious intentions, then I wouldn't see any problem with selling them the file. I've sold After Effects files before when people have needed them, making sure I have their name, address etc... and I've made it explicitly clear that doesn't give them the right to sell anything they make using the template.
I obviously charge them a reasonable fee for the privilege, and the value they're getting for the file, but not so much as to put them off. $5000 would be nice, but if I'd create them a custom shot for around $500 or less, then ten times more for a non-custom shot is probably a bit excessive.

Not on DT (sorry to derail) but a customer called me directly for a RAW file - "I already paid for it on Bigstock - it's pretty small - we hope to get the original file just for a banner at a trade show". I heard the words "I already paid for it" likely 6 times. Whoopie - you paid either for a sub or bought an XS or a couple bucks (it was Bigstock after all). We settled on a price and I dropboxed the file. A very VERY good price for them too.
Famous advice I give everyone else and worth all caps.... COLLECT PAYMENT BEFORE YOU SEND THE FILE. Got sick of demanding payment and have never received a cent. I guess I had a weak moment as she was from the area where I grew up and it was one of those rolling prairie shots. I didn't doubt she would need a raw file to work some magic on - ancient file from a 6mp D70.
While on the derail - it's only February and I've received more bounced cheques already this year than I did all of last year. They seriously bounce cheques for $15, $20, $80 bucks. Bank charges me fees. Their bank charges them fees. If they actually want the packages I charge them fees when I can collect them. I'm so sick of self employment I'm ready to toss my gear. Between shooting for a living and rare stock photography I can't remember the last time I've taken a "creative" photo.
