I was wondering if you also saw a pretty spectacular increase in sales there the last 1- 1,5 months?
My portfolio on DT is only 245 pics, maybe this is only ebb and flow, so i was wondering... Smiley

Not for me (with over 3K images). DT are just about holding their own percentage-wise, but nothing more than that.

Not so much in the past week or two, but yes lately I have seen DT pick up quite a bit for me, and IS has all but died for me lately.. Kinda wierd although I guess I'd prefer DT sales anyways as well as I have stopped uploading images to IS as well.. I hope DT can take sales from IS, although I'm sure the exclusives really hate that idea but at least DT is fair to their contributors..

DT definitely up and IStock down for me.

Actually DT was my top earner in December for the first time in (my) history.

Can't really comment on iStock but DT has been quite encouraging over the last two months.

no massive change is Dreamstime in the last few months, just keeps ticking along

My earnings 2009 and 2010 were steady compared to increases at Shutterstock and IS.
When did the commission cuts take effect at DT ? probably lines up as the explaination

Hmm, so far the general consensus seems steady or up...
Sales for my puny portfolio there have doubled (without uploading much) the past 1,5 months. iStock is a slightly down too here,  but all in all going steady too (a miracle really considering their search engine issues)

December was my best month for 2010 at DT, but just by a dollar.

Rather hit and missy however still healthy for me right now ..... really like the set up of Images moving up the credits system which they have there resulting in nice returns  Wink

What I've been noticing lately are the wild swings at DT.  For the past few months, it seems they have been monkeying with their search results.  For instance, I'll have a LOT of Level 5 downloads -- we're talking a dozen or more $4-$10 commissions a day -- and this will last for a few weeks.  Then, like a facuet turning off, they'll stop, and I'll just see a trickle of .35 and .70 subscription sales throughout the day.  A few weeks later, the faucet turns on again and I see the Level 4 and 5 downloads come pouring in again.  Clearly DT is going back and forth between defaulting to top selling images at the top of search results vs. moving newer or lower level images to the top and pushing the big sellers far down.  I don't see this on any other site.  When I compare my daily charts for each site, DT is full of very high highs and very low lows, while the others remain fairly consistent and predictable.

As for this moment... the Level 5 faucet has been for the past few weeks, but it may have shut off today... not a single download halfway through the day, which is extremely bizarre, even for a Sunday.  Typically I'll have between 10 - 20 downloads on a Sunday at DT, but not today.

LOL, since the DT search engine work by rotating the contributors on the top of the searches. It's funny as *** that barely 50% say "oh it's so slow", and the other half say,"it's very good"

DT dropped a lot for me starting in Feb 2010 (in line with going from 50% to as low as 30%) and slowly started back up in the second half of the year. This is especially obvious looking at the quarterly results. December was down compared to Nov.

They do seem to run hot or cold every other week or so though.

OK, I originally thought I wasn't getting any DT downloads today, but I've watched the total dollar figure in the upper right increase gradually throughout the day, but the window showing each download as it comes in hasn't updated since last night, at least 16 hours.  I'm used to a 30 to 60 minute lag, but I don't recall DT's reporting ever being this far behind.  I'm now anticipating seeing about $15 - $20 in downloads for today whenever the system finally un-constipates itself.  Anyone else seeing this crazy delay?

December 2010 was my BME at DT and overall 2010 was BYE with about 800 photos and graphics online.

I also notice the downloads switch back and forth betweens lots of subs and then top sellers.

Big crash for me this month, after a bumper Nov-Dec. I hope it picks up again. DT is my favourite site Cheesy
