I just got an email from [email protected] that has the name Nicole Kidd (Dreamstime) on it, sent to my account that I use for Microstock. Just a heads up, in case anyone here thinks there's really an Email from DT with the Subject: Past Due Invoices

It's spam or phishing I didn't click the link. I'll be sending this to DT now.

Any Update??

I wrote to them, never got any answer. So this is what it sounds like in outer space = the answers we often get from agencies.  :(

I reported this scam a while ago. Shame it's still going on.

I got a long series of these also on the email I only use for stock and also addressed me on my full name which has an unusual spelling. It started mid December, last year.
When I wrote to DT for the first time I got an answer from the same Nicole Kidd (the real person) head of content.

In the  2nd 3rd email they said (the spammers)  that the money for the transaction (whatever it was) will be retained from my PP.
Of course I was scared and I've sent DT a second email asking that they should look into it because they must have a data breach.
I was also asking not to forward my complaint to this Nicole Kidd and then someone else from DT sent me this email:
Quote
Thank you for contacting us.

I can confirm that that email did not come from us, but is a phishing email using our real names.

If you check the actual sender of the original email, it is not [email protected] .  They have simply typed her name on their email.

They are just trying to get you to click on whatever they sent you by using our names to gain your trust and then your computer will be infected if you click what they sent.

Kind Regards,
I know that but how did these spammers get my email address that I don't use in other places and also my name?

I know this is an old thread but I just noticed I have a similar fake Dreamstime mail.
It was sent just around the time I received my payment.
I am not happy they have my mail...

Yup, got another one this week, saying my EID or SS# were wrong. (on an account that's been there since at least 2008?) They come from a spoofed address and are impersonating someone at DT. Of course DT never answers any mail or phishing reports so they don't care. I suspect that someone figured a way to  harvest all the emails from DTs servers.

Or mine could be true and DT just discovered that they don't have a clue? LOL  :D

Did you receive it close to a payment? I am wondering if this is coincidence.

Nope, just one in Dec or January, one in Feb and one this week. I think some others have also, maybe they can see if it was near a payment due. I'm really just going at the basics. Someone stole our email addresses somehow from the site. The only reason I saw the Dec. was, it was in the Spam folder.  :D The addresses could have also come from the DT forum registration? I don't know, but somewhere, somehow, someone has been finding email addresses for DT contributors.

Mine was in the spam folder too. This is the only stock site that leaked my mail.
I read on their forums and they just replied to people with something like yes this is phishing, don't open it.

I hope they go out of business, irresponsible don't care don't answer. They are becoming one of the worst after being one we could trust for personal managers.
