It'S a GOOD thing. *, with all the skullduggery and shenanigans going on elsewhere the best thing to do is upload like mad. Personally, I'd like to see them rocket through 10m and well beyond before month end. It might encourage a few incentives elsewhere - a longshot but who knows. Just grab it.

10 millions is nice for DT, for buyers, too. But we are sellers, what is better for us - full market or empty? More files online - lower our chances to sell something. Why are you so happy?

That's certainly a very nice thing to do and I appreciate it. DT stands out of the other agencies for this, especially by including the non-exclusives in this promotion.

1. Impossible - to close agencies can only their owners!
2. Agencies understand this ( they are sellers, too) and are cleaning their data bases by deleting or mowing to free section files, standing some years without downloads ( 4 years for DT). Accepting requirements become stronger, more rejections, lower prices.
3. On this page right side you see lot of agencies. How much will be here after 5 - 10 years? I think, only some biggest, other will die without buyers and earnings...

I agree with your statement but actually every contributor have is own plan regarding expenses, earnings, whatever.. when we see something positive we gotta keep giving and working, not giving up just to let previous contributors happy or so, if agencies keep approving that's their own business, we cannot do nothing, I guess we could.. UPLOAD!

I won't stop just to let "previous/big/whatever" contributors stay happy!

skullduggery and shenanigans
Pardon my ignorance, but what does that mean?

Skullduggery is sort of dishonest, cheating sort of behavior, and shenigans are mischief and generally behaving badly.

Here are the dictionary definitions:

Skullduggery:  underhanded or unscrupulous behavior; also : a devious device or trick

Shenanigans: 1) a devious trick used especially for an underhand purpose
                    2) a : tricky or questionable practices or conduct —usually used in plural
b : high-spirited or mischievous activity —usually used in plural

Thanks, Lisa.  Shenigans is the name of a pub here, and I always thought it was a proper name.  Cheesy

Leaf, where do you see that number?

Warren, indeed, it's an Irish pub.

Lisa, after people there drink a few beers, I don't want to be near the dart board.  Cheesy

Front page is predicting Nov 23rd as the date. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving in the US, and traditionally the last workday before the holiday break.

Nice but I can't help feeling they will only use a tiny bit of the money they have made from our commission cuts.

I knew someone would have to say that.

Let's look at it this way - Istock cut royalties to less than half what Dreamstime pays, and they simultaneously eliminated Punctum Day awards.

Are we so beaten down that we can't even enjoy a bit of good news? Considering how much bad news there has been out of the micros lately, I am more than happy to give Dreamstime credit where credit is due.

Words like "gift horse" and "mouth" come to mind   Smiley It's only a gesture but it's a NICE gesture...
