Is there a quick easy way to batch remove the audio channel from 100+ mp4 files?  The only way I know is to put each one in premiere, remove audio channel and re encode, which takes a lot of time.

Yes, that is what I would do: re encode with After Effects or Premiere.
It doesn't take much time, as Media Encoder handles the queue in the background

If you match the source, the reencoding would be relatively fast.
Fastest way (I think) is to drag all 100 files in Media Encoder Queue, reencode each mp4 file with Match source and audio unchecked, sit back, grab a beer, and let AME do the rest.
