It seems that video discussions on here don't usually go anywhere, I guess most people are photographers here.  Where should I look for good info, ie tripods, camera reviews, editing, etc.. either forums or video mainly websites?  Thanks.

I keep an eye on this channel on vimeo there's often some great reviews, hands on trials from pros and regular newbies etc http://vimeo.com/channels/filmschool

if you on twitter consider following @NinoLeitner @phillipbloom and many others..

and get the free download at http://nofilmschool.com/dslr/ and check out http://nofilmschool.com/ you'll find a lot of resources spin off from those starters.

best of luck

Great link, thanks! I have just made my first DIY skater dolly, but this one is brilliant:

I want a helicopter too! Apparently the pro ones, videowise are so expensive you have to ask for a "price quote". I like cheesycam.com for fun products. But watch out as many new products seem not to have been reviewed hands on, such as the HDMI 7" monitors. I also use the forums on the video agency sites for specific questions. You can often ask for advice on gear depending on what stage of the game you are in. All the best!
