Topic: Are they seriously keeping images for 90 days?

I set up an account with FeaturePics and was just about to submit my portfolio (sales or not, I wanted to support them for the 70% contributor commission)

What stopped me from doing this was this statement in their contributor agreement:

You can request to delete Image(s) any time. It can be actually deleted in 90 days.

...Which means that if I put up my portfolio at FP and sell another SR-EL on Dreamstime, I will be breaking the law by not being able to take down my own images within 78 hours or so.

Is this the case? Are there no "delete"-button by the images that you upload?

Thanks
Thomas Amby

...Or at least a "disable" button like on Dreamstime?

Why not email them and ask them?

Why not email them and ask them?

Because I thought that maybe some people on the MSG forum might have the answer for my question.

I never tried to delete anything, but it seems reasonable to me that an agency puts such restrictions.  There are costs involved in every image submitted, and I understand that they don't want them wasted.

Well, I deleted some images from them without any trouble. The images were gone in a couple of days.

Thomas,

Don't worry about that - they are reasonable in such issues.

The point you are giving as example can be solved in 48 hours there!

When deleting file due to you sold rights on it is OK and that will be always approved from Featurepics.

The 90 days time frame is for those who upload all their stuff today and tommorow they change their mind... That is not possible to do with all portfolios. But, in single image or few image cases is OK.

So, UPLOAD as much as you can there and don't worry!

Thank you very much, I had hoped so

Milinz, I guess you are aware that FP is using one of your illustrations on their site? I'm pretty sure it is one of yours

Right under the search bar. Congrats!

Thanks Thomas!

That was ordered artwork. I've also made a bit animation there...
They've displayed my easter illustration on bigest showplace last month too.
I have such displays not only on FP. There was few months one of my images showing on StockXpert too ;-)
Also, there are some places I never heard about containing my images on first pages too... China internet sites are interesting but, I can not understand what is writen there...  I must start some Chinese language course ;-)

I am a kind of getting used to it... I just do my job - creating usable stock images.
